The next morning I found myself laying in Damian's arms and the television on the menu screen of adventure time. Damian was snoring softly and his grip around my waist was tight, almost like he was scared of letting me go. It reminded me of when we were younger. We were at the playground and some boys were bullying Damian and me. After the bullies went away I was crying and Damian held me in his arms. His grip was tight and he tried to sooth me and calm me down.

It's okay, they are gone now. No need to cry Snowflake.

His voice made me feel safe. Until this day his voice still makes me feel safe.

Even back then Damian was two times the size of me. I laughed and tried to untie myself from his tight grip.

"Nooooo, Flakey don't go"

"Haha Damian, how else am I supposed to make breakfast?"

"Ugh fine, I'll let you go if you make me waffles just the way I like them"

"Ugh you and your eternal love for waffles"

After he let me go I went to the kitchen to make waffles and tea for both Damian and me. When I got back to the living room I saw Damian asleep on the couch. The sun was shining on his face. Somehow he looked beautiful. A soft, fine pale skin. Dark eyebrows. A sharp jawline and thin lips with one piercing on the right side of his lower lip. His dark black hairs fell on his face as he rolled over.

He looks beautiful

WHAT!? What the hell am I thinking!! He's my best childhood friend for Christ's sake!

But still, I can't deny it. He did grew up to be a handsome young man. No wonder with the parents he had. His mother was a model/movie star and his father was also a model.

"Oi Beaver, wake up. Your breakfast is ready" I practically yelled in his ear making him to jump and fall of the couch.

"Ooow, Snowflake you didn't have to yell in my ear." He rubbed his hand over his head.

I giggled and sat down eating my breakfast next to him.

Niklauss crawled on my lap laying his head down. He was wagging his tail and looked happy at bumper. Who was playing with Damian's sock which was still on his feet. I giggled at crazy bumper hopelessly trying to get the sock but failing miserably.

"Do you have to work today?" I asked Damian.

"Yeah, but I'm home early today for once in my life"

Damian worked at a magazine company as an editor and a short story writer. As editor he took care of the cartoons in the magazines and the short stories. He also writes short stories himself from time to time. Basically his job takes up all of his time. Which can be pretty annoying since I almost never get to see him except when he comes home half asleep walking like a zombie through the apartment. I usually have to guide him to his room so he won't walk up a door or something.

"Do you want to get something to eat together when you get of work?"

"Of course! It's been sooo long since we had sushi together"

"Haha sushi it is apparently"

"I have to get to work, Snow, could you do me a favor?"

"Sure what is it?"

"Could you walk Bumper for me? I'm already late"

"sure, but you know this isn't a favor anymore. This is becoming a routine."

"I'm sorry Snowflake but I really can't argue about this now. I have to go"

"Bye then"

Yet another morning started with an argument. I hope our sushi dinner date is still on. I got up from the floor and brought the dishes to the kitchen. I heard the front door shut, that means Damian is off to work. Guess I'm alone with the dogs now.

I walked to my room to properly dress and grabbed the dog leashes to go on a walk. Normally I take a short route but today is my day off and it's a beautiful morning so I'm going to go for a long walk. I put my coat on and walked out the door making sure I had my keys.

"Come on Niklauss and Bumber!"

The dog follow me and I close the door. I see Niklauss and Bumber playing and running down the staircase of the apartment building. I laughed at the energetic dogs.
