"Hey Mila, sweetie!"

"Oh hey Rayona, lovely day today isn't it?"

It was my neighbor Rayona. A sweet woman if you ask me. She always greets me in the morning when I go to walk the dogs.

"Yes very lovely today."

"I'm going to go walk the dogs now bye Rayona" I said with a smile as I walked down the stairs.

I walked out the door and a soft breeze blew my hair away from my face. The fresh air felt cold but soft on my skin. It smelled nice. I sighed and walked. The dogs were pulling their leashes. The couldn't wait to get to the park.

I had to cross a few roads to get to the park, one very busy one and three calm ones. I finally reached the park and sat down on a bench. I unhooked the leashes of both dogs and kept an eye out as they ran around playing with each other. I sat back and took my notebook out of my pocket. I started writing hoping I would get some inspiration here.

*buzz...buzzzz*

I looked at my phone to find a text from Damian.

"Where exactly r u rn????

I was surprised to get a text from him. Normally he never texts me when he is working. I texted back.

"I'm @ the park with the dogs"

I waited for a response which didn't take long.

"Go home rn!"

I was confused. Why do I need to go home? It was all very strange and confusing.

"Why do I need to go home?"

I texted back.

"Just go home. I'll tell you the reason later."

He was acting suspicious. I texted back again waiting for a response.

"I'll go in a minute, the dogs have to do their things too yknow"

I sighed and put down my phone. The dogs were close and sniffling in the grass. It was pretty quiet in the park today. Just a few children playing and some tourists walking around. I heard some footsteps behind me, I turned around and saw a man in a suit. It didn't take me long to see that the man in the suit had a familiar face.

"A-Adam??"

"hey Mila, heh, didn't mean to frighten you" he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Haha it's okay, so how have you been?"

I smiled at him while putting my notebook away. It's not like I'm going to write much today. Plus with all the strange texts Damian send me, I just couldn't take my mind of it. He smiled at me and answered.

"I've been okay, a little busy with work though"

He held up a briefcase and laughed a little. I gestured him to sit down next to me.

"And how about you Mila? How have you been?"

"I've been okay" I smiled at him.

He somehow looked different then the day I met him. He looked more mature, serious. Like he somehow grew up in a day. Maybe it's just the suit, but it was different.

"So what's with the briefcase Mr. bigshot?" I joked and playfully nudged his arm.

"Heh, I don't think I told you yet, but I work for the bank. I'm a lawyer." He chuckled and rubbed his arm.

"Oh wow, that's a lot of responsibilities haha"

We both laughed and kept talking for another fifteen minutes. Both dogs finally came running back to me and I decided it was time to head home. Adam and I exchanged phone numbers and we both said our goodbyes. I leashed the dogs and started walking home.
