Marie layed down in her bed, crying her eyes out. How could she fall in love with a man who would never love her in return? She quietly sobbed until she had calmed down. She walked over to the bathroom and looked through her reflection. She took a deep breath, washed her face, and got ready to sleep.
Meanwhile, at midnight, LeFou and Gaston met up in the stable. "Are you ready LeFou?" asked Gaston as he was putting on the saddle on his black horse. "As sure as i'll ever be," he mumbled. Le Fou wasn't extremely sure if it was a good idea, he may be dead but it was going to be an unforgettable adventure.
The pair got on top of their horses and started to head to the woods, in search of Bernard Bouvier. This two searched deeply in every place at the woods that they could think about, but still no sign of him.
Gaston and LeFou didn't give up that easily, they were sure that Bernard was out there, hiding from his own daughter. The went a little more further and found nothing. Again.
They decided to get of their horses and tie them up to the nearest tree. Gaston took of his coat and sat down grumpily in the rotten log in the floor. He was most certain that he was alive, well at least he believed so. He had to try before he gave up, he had to impress Marie and make her happy again, even if she didn't loved him.
LeFou gathered up some logs and placed them in front of the log that Gaston was sitting on. He rubbed two sticks together and started a fire so that they could spend the night warm.
The two of them got comfortable, or well... they tried and fell deep in slumber.
The sun peaked through the windows in Marie's room. She flinched before she got up and smiled to herself. Yesterday she had a moment to recollect her thoughts and she was certain that she would apologised to her friends for acting like a brat with them.
She stood up cheerfully and quickly changed. She got into a beautiful blue dress and opened the door to go to Gaston.
Marie looked around and frowned to herself. Where was Gaston? She looked over at the baker and jogged over to him. "Oh... hello Marie," he said bubbly. "Hello, have you seen Gaston around here?" "Yesterday I saw him leave the village but that's it." Marie thanked him and went over to the stable.
She spotted Augustus and got him out. She got onto him and strolled over to the outsides of the village.
She turned her head sideways and there was no sign of him. Augustus started to freak out. He ran towards the opposite direction of a very mysterious figure standing in the middle of the woods. She got very scared and ran up the hill, towards the castle.
Marie was scared when she saw a chubby man with a ponytail in the middle of the narrow road.e turned around and got his hands up in surrender, to whoever was running towards him. Marie stopped and took a good look, it was LeFou.
She deeply sighed and LeFou returned her an unsure grin. "Hey Marie, what are you doing up here?" he said in a high pitched voice, but she didn't seem to notice. "Do you know where Gaston is? I just have to tell him something."
LeFou nervously chuckled, of course he knew where Gaston was, but he was afraid to tell her. Not where he was, but their reason for them being there and camping outside in the forest.
Marie stared at him with full curiosity, tilting her head to her side. "Are you okay LeFou?" Le Fou looked up at her and he felt his hands starting to get sweaty.
LeFou smiled and said to her, "Yes i am okay miss Marie, better than ever." "Oh, so why are you in the woods, is there a special reason?" She asked with her eyebrows furrowed, really worried about her friend. "Um..." he trailed of but quickly turned his head around as he saw his friend calling our his name, "LeFou, i think i found..." Gaston said but quickly stopped talking at the sight of Marie.
"Hello Marie," he smirked and grabbed her hand, kissing her knuckled. Marie had never seen Gaston act that way, a lot like his old self. She frowned but then smiled a little. "Hello to you too Gaston," she said smiling.
"Can i talk to you for a second? Alone?" Marie asked Gaston and he told Le of to move away. "Of course you can, so what do you want to talk about?" "I would first like to tell you that I'm sorry for the way i acted yesterday, that was very rude," she muttered. Gaston smiled warmly at her and said, "It is me who has to apologize for talking that bad about you." "I forgive you Gaston." Gaston's face lit up, making Marie giggle.
"So, I've been thinking about you asked me," Gaston said. "Oh, have you?" she said crossing her arms over her chest. "And i have an answer," he said nervously, scratching the back of his neck. "What is it then?" she asked with a glint of curiosity in her blue eyes.
"My answer is that i hav-" and before he could say anything else the sound of LeFoe yelling something cut him off. "Gaston i really need you o come over here, quickly!" LeFou said very loudly.
"Excuse me," said Gaston before he jogged to LeFou. "What is it?" he asked annoyed. "I saw something running onto the dark part of the woods." Gaston grinned and turned around to see Marie, but she wasn't there. He looked everywhere until she spotted her on top of Augustus, following the mysterious figure.
"Le Fou, follow her," Gaston ordered him. They both ran towards their horses, got onto of them and started galloping in the direction that Marie was taking them. "Do you think she knows Gaston?" LeFou asked him. "I don't know," he said under his breath.
Her silhouette faded away onto the darkness, leaving the two man lost. Gaston felt preoccupied, maybe she might be in danger. He had to get to her. "Do you have any idea where she might have gone?" LeFou asked worried. Before Gaston could say anything, Augustus appeared out of the darkness and stopped when he saw the two men.
Gaston was now very worried, he got onto of his black horse and galloped where Augustus came from. "Where are you going Gaston?" LeFou asked, yelling at him. "You, stay here. I am going to get Marie." Le Fou nodded at Gaston's orders and he stayed on his place and took care of Marie's horse.
At the sight of Marie, Gaston let out a sigh of relief. "Marie, thank god I finally found you." He studied the look on her face, she looked extremely scared. "Marie are you okay, you look like you just found a ghost," said Gaston, laughing unsure. Marie didn't said anything, she just kept looking in the same direction.
Gaston knitted his eyebrows together and turned to the direction that Marie was looking at. They didn't knew what was going on, there stood a tall figure. That figure removed off his cape and Marie couldn't believe her eyes. In front of her, was the man that she needed the most, her father. A tear slipped out of her eye and her eyes widened. "Marie, it's me, your father."
"Papa."
