"Oh, my name is Marie Bouvier, and this gentlemen are Gaston Legume, Lorenzo Rousseau, and LeFou," said Marie with a giddy look on her face, which angered the two men behind her.
"Well, tonight I shall invite you four to the ball that will be held tonight in honor of my brother's coronation as a prince, of course if you would like to attend," said the prince, standing up, still holding onto Marie's dainty hand.
"I'm sorry bu-" said Gaston stepping besides Marie but he quickly was interrupted by an excited LeFou saying, "Of course we'll go!"The crowd surrounding them started to cheer loudly, but Lorenzo and Gaston had a annoyed look on their faces. They were both jealous that the king in front of Marie was causing her to have a beautiful smile cross her face.
"Not to be rude or anything, but may I ask your name?" the prince let out an adorable chuckle before answering Marie's question, "The name's Charles."
Marie was excited to attend to the ball. Her father told her many stories about a big ball being held and a woman finding her true love in that ball.
Well, if you would follow me inside the palace, there you can get ready for the ball," said the king before signalling for them to follow him inside the beautiful palace.
Marie and LeFou linked arms together as they followed close behind Charles while Lorenzo and Gaston miserably walked towards the entry.
Charles stood in the middle of the palace and looked at a beautiful woman descending the large stairs inside. She had long blonde hair with hazel eyes and full lips. She beamed at the adventurers and kissed Charles cheek.
"Who are these lovely visitors?" She asked Charles while eyeing them up and down. "Lizzie, this is Marie Bouvier, LeFou, Gaston Legume and Lorenzo Rousseau, this is my wife and queen Elizabeth," Charles answered while pointing at each of the visitors. "Pleasure to meet you all."
After the introduction, Charles told everyone to pick a room to get ready in, so Marie started to walk around the enormous palace in search for the perfect room.
She was looking at the beautiful portraits hanged in the walls, not even noticing the man in front of her. He was looking at the ground, also not noticing Marie.
The two of them bumped heads. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking and I accidentally bumped into you an-" Marie ranted until she made eye contact with the man who she bumped into. He had on a fencing uniform, with a sword on his hand.
"Do not worry, it's quite alright," said the stranger.
"My name is Prince Kit and you are..." he trailed off, sticking out his hand, believing that Marie would give her his hand for him to kiss.
"Marie Bouvier," she said shaking his hand. He chuckled, making Marie tilt her head in confusion, "Did I do something wrong?"
The prince quickly replied, "Of course not, I'm just happy to meet you." Marie smiled and said, "Likewise, well see you later, I guess."
With that Marie walked away, leaving the prince standing in the middle of the long corridor, alone.
He liked Marie. He liked that she was very different from the other women he had met in different parties. He enjoyed her company, she was bold and fearless. He liked that.
After a minute or two, Marie found the perfect too, it was white with golden specks. It was breathtaking.
She sighed happily when someone knocked on her door. She paced towards the door and opened it to reveal Elizabeth, holding a beautiful emerald green dress.
"May I come in," asked Lizzie politely. "Well of course, it's your palace." Lizzie smiled at her and then walked in.
The Bouvier girl quickly closed the door before facing the queen.
"I see that you chose this room," she said. Marie nodded and said, "It is very beautiful in my opinion." "Indeed it is."
"I brought you this dress so that you can wear it in the ball," said Elizabeth while handing the dress to Marie. "Oh! You didn't have to, I could have used one of mine, " said Marie. "None sense, you will wear the dress and this emerald necklace, you will look perfect."
Marie smiled at Lizzie and said sincerely, "Thank you, really."
Lizzie said, "Your welcome, I should leave you alone so that you and I can get ready for the ball." Marie nodded before looking at Lizzie, who opened the door and left the room.
Marie sighed happily as she looked at the dress and the beautiful necklace.
Time passed and Marie was almost done. She was having a hard time putting on the necklace. She reached the door handle and opened the door, looking both ways in hope that someone could help her put on the necklace.
She saw a short stubby man checking himself out in the mirror. She smiled and called out his name, "LeFou!" The man quickly turned around and walked towards the girl.
"Marie! You look beautiful!" Marie blushed at his compliment but quickly brush it off. "Can you help me put this necklace on?" He agreed and quickly helped her before saying their 'see you later'.
She then closed the door and looked at her reflection in her room's mirror. She smiled at the sight of her. If her dad was only here to tell her how beautiful she looked like he always did before the fire.
She sighed sadly and then encouraged herself and with that, she left the room, ready for the ball.
