"Now there is one last thing." Ferid said. "There appears to be an interesting development with the humans. Please take a look." He played a holographic video of the possessed Yu with the black wing running wild.

"Is that...?" One of the Progenitors on a screen asked.

"Yes, it appears the humans have succeeded in recreating the Seraph of the End Project." Ferid said.

"But how is this possible? I thought Krul-sama killed all the Seraph of the End subjects in the Hyakuya Sect, and no other organization has research that came this far."

"Yes, I killed all those with the Seraph gene myself." Krul replied.

"They probably either found other subject who wasn't affiliated with that Sect or artificially recreated it. With the rate that humans gained knowledge before the curse spread, I wouldn't be surprised." Annemarie said.

"Speaking of which, Stark-sama your father was one of those who gained massive amounts of knowledge correct? Did he know anything?"

"Actually, my father didn't discover much. He only knew everything and used that knowledge to build weapons and other devices. It was his partner, Bruce Banner, that research things, but it was on radiation. I doubt he'd know anything about the Seraph of the End experiment..."

~oOo~

"Hello Bruce Banner." Kureto said, walking into the laboratory. "Have you learned anything else about the Seraph gene?"

"No, but I've drawn up an experiment that could potentially offer much information...I just wish I could carry it out on an actual test subject, but no one would volunteer for that..."

"Leave it to me, give me the experiment procedure and data tables, I'll have a different group of people look at it. I've brought some interesting pieces of information for you. This is the first one, it's the results of experiments you asked us to spacers out on Vampire subjects. I think you'll find the results very interesting. And as for the second, I think you might want to gather up the rest of your friends."

~oOo~

"Krul, I really have to question how you're running things in Japan." Lest Karr said. "Is this not a consequence of how you've been ruling that country? Annemarie-sama, why don't you just let me be in charge of Japan? I could easily get rid of the resisting human forces."

"Lest, from what I can see from my time here, it's not because of Krul, it's because the humans have had this kind of research long before the curse, letting them oppose us without time for us to exterminate them."

"How do you know?" One of them asked.

"I've been on the battlefield and saw that they use demon weapons. This would have taken a very long time if they had little to or no research on the topic. In addition, it allows them to have an equal chance against our soldiers."

"I'm sorry, Stark-sama but...Did I just hear that you've been on the battlefield?" Lest Karr asked. "If the problem really isn't as severe as we claim, then surely you wouldn't have a need to step into actual combat."

"I have not implied in anyway that the situation isn't as severe as it appears, only that Krul isn't the one responsible for it and that I will not hold her accountable. It is quite severe, but I had only stepped in because I wanted to see first hand how these humans fight and to gain more combat experience."

"I'm sorry, 'more'?"

"I lived with a group of people called the Avengers and worked for Homeland Security, what did you think was going to happen?"
