By the time Annemarie had come back, she could tell the other humans were dead. So I could only only save one...

"Oh, you're back." Mika said. He looked beyond her. "Just in time too, the second wave is here."

She turned around and saw a new group of soldiers running their way. She sighed. "Okay, let's do this." She looked at her cloth. This group of soldiers looked smaller, it should last through the fight.

As she engaged in battle, she saw one soldier who stood out among the rest with his red accents in his uniform rather than green like the others. Probably one of their leaders, she thought.

"Shit!" She yelled. The holes in her cloth had increased so much that it torn in two and was no longer usable. Shouldn't have chosen this style of fighting, the cloth would never had lasted long against weapons like theirs.

She dropped the cloth and focused on just using her rapier, which was not very effective and leaving her with weak defense. There were only about ten to twenty humans left, but there were just as little of them too. "Mika! Give me your cape!" She yelled. The cape wasn't made of the specialized fabric her original cloth was made of, but it'd work for now.

With her defense system restored, she was able to take down the three soldiers pitied against her in no time. Looking around, it appeared everyone else was also engaged with their own personal opponent while Ferid stayed out of the fighting as usual. She saw Mika face off with the man in red. "Mika! Do you need help?"

"I can take him myself." He replied.

The man smirked. "That arrogance is gonna get you killed."

Their attacks were hard to follow, but they appeared to be tied. "Mika, you're going to get the rug pulled out from under you." Ferid said.

"What?"

"Underneath you."

Mika looked down and saw their were wires scattered around him. The daggers holding them down pulled out of the earth and flew, with the possibility of hitting Mika. While he was distracted, the man in red charged at him and his blow that would have killed Mika was blocked by Annemarie's cloth. "Don't get distracted." She pulled the sword out of his hands and Ferid punched him in the face sending him flying.

"You two are the most blind people I've ever seen."

"What does that mean!?" Annemarie exclaimed p.

"Well first of all," he blocked an incoming blow from a soldier aimed at Annemarie. "There's that. Second," he pointed to where Mika and the man in red were. "Your boyfriend ran off."

"We are not a couple."

"He is your friend, right?" She nodded. "He is a boy, and he is your friend. Boy who is your friend, boyfriend." She smacked him in the face and walked away towards Mika as he impaled the man. There were voices shouting as the grew closer.

Annemarie could hear them. "Guren! Get away from him you filthy Vampire!" From this, Annemarie could learn a few things.

          1) That guy was human
          2) The man in reds name was Guren
          3) He really hated Vampires

She heard Mika sigh. "Another annoying human." He got ready to impale the one running the fastest towards him. But as he turned his head, his bored expression turned into one displaying shock. "Y-Yu-chan?"

She couldn't remember who "Yu" was at the time, she was busy now running towards Mika to block the incoming stab. Using her Vampiric speed, she entangled the incoming sword with her cloth once within range and was about to stab him in the shoulder when Mika stopped her.
