The One You're Holding

" Last Man Standing"

Was I scared? 

No, not at all, I wasn't completely scared nor was I worried. I think I was more shocked at the fact that we were stuck, that fact alone seemed to have numbed me of all worry I should have been feeling. 

There I sat on a rock looking at the river completely dazed by the sight. I wasn't really thinking of anything, to be honest. I was just sitting there away from all the panic the triplets where feeling. Sitting on the uncomfortable rock that felt like sitting on slimy seaweed and needles. I thought about one thing and one thing only.

" Man this is going to be one awesome story to tell"

I know , I know! I shouldn't be thinking about such a thought when I am stuck here and abandoning my friends, but here me out.

It is the only thing I can think of at the moment. If I thought about the negative I would be on this rock having a panic attack. I also wanted to think positive and not negative, what good would it be if all four of us go crazy?

"Well at least you get to see the river.." I said to myself, laughing  at the outcome we are in right now.

" STUPID! you can't go over there you will fall!"

I hear a voice, I assume it is Bobby yelling at Toby from a far. 

I looked over to my left and see Toby trying to use a small branch to pull himself up. Bobby was right he was going to fall and even if he managed there was no other branch to latch on to. 

Just like Bobby had said, Toby fell to his feet and landed perfectly.

"that kid is something else, how do you land perfectly but is always on your back in football?" I said out loud dazzled by Toby's uneven perks that serves him no use in Football.

" SHUT UP! I am trying to figure out away to get out of HERE and you Mr.Know it all aren't helping at all!"

Toby said  to Bobby while walking away from him in frustration.

Everyone was full of emotions at the moment. We had been stuck here for 10 hours now and it is 4:00pm. The first few hours was okay we all stayed calmed and things seemed to be going okay, but then Toby was the first to break.

Flash Back to 1:00pm

Toby was pacing around the dirt and rocks underneath his feet, he was talking to himself and rambling about something.

I was siting up against a rock next to Savia, and Bobby was laying on the luggage looking up at the sky.

" You know during time like these the human brain can go full Rack-o and some people tend to illusion-ate. I wonder if Toby mental strength can take it? It looks like he might be the first to break, that would be a sight!"

Savia said, interrupting our silence.

not like I wanted to hear Toby's rambling anyways...

Bobby had sat up straight staring at Toby and turning his gaze to Savia. I looked at Savia and then looked at Bobby.

" Sav, you say some weird things, but, I think you might be right. If Toby breaks that means I am stuck watching over him"

Bobby had said looking up at the sky, his mood as been somewhat down in spirit since he received that text. No, Since he's been in the car texting.

I wonder what is up with him

Savia chuckled and looked at me, her eyes studied mines and I once again was feeling uncomfortable. 

" Lets See who will be the last man standing !"
