" The lanzen's daughter?!"

" Hey Nov, everyone will be out of the house, so, the lanzen's daughter had volunteered to watch you." My mom said while checking my fever.

WHAT?! The lan-Lanzen's daughter! No, I hated her when she would babysit me and I hate her now....okay hate is a strong word but, ugh! You will see what I mean later.

" 102° Wow! That's really high, no adventures for you, okay? " My mom said her famous quote phase towards me. Followed my an eyebrow raise.

" I am not a little kid anymore" I said huffing.

" Yea, when you were little and cute you would always talk about adventures. Especially when you  were sick! Haha, the things I had to do to you just to keep you in the room. Now, you are all grown up but I suppose the adventurous side hasn't left,yet." my mom said, getting up and putting everything away.

Wait, did she just leave out the cute part? So what am ugly now?

" Marryan will be over in 30, please be nice to her, she is a nice girl." with that my mom left.

Great I am stuck with the Lanzen's daughter for the day...

I put my phone down and relaxed my head on my pillow.
Laughing at how my group of friends are. I Looked over the text a again to get another good laugh when I realized I still had no idea what adventure they were talking about.

.....Adventure... What type of adventure could I possibly go on? I was sick it's probably nothing. With a fever like mines I am surprised I didn't strip naked in front of Bobby....that would be embarrassing.

" Hey Novy!! How are you?" Marryan had came into my room interrupting my thoughts.

She still has the key to my house?

" I am fine, just hanging in there" I replied back with no interest in conversation.

" That's great, everyone at home prayed for a fast recovery. It might just be a cold but we know some times colds are more than just that, don't we?" Marryan asked me, making herself extremely comfortable in my room.

Umm...I am sick for a reason? Why do you want to stay in a room with polluting air?

" Yes" I said, trying to give her the hint that I didn't want to talk.

" This reminds me of old times, you have gotten so big!" Marryan said with a peppy spark to her.

And you are still the same Marryan...with more boobs of course, yes I said that. Before the girl was as flat as a ironing board, now she is like two balloons.

"Hey, do you still go by the hospital?" Marryan asked.

I looked up at her starting to feel  uncomfortable about the topic but quickly dismissing it.

" No, I haven't went in awhile. Why do you ask?." I said sitting up in my bed.

" I went a few days back to give prayers and a Nurse mentioned you to another kid. She said something about him reminding her of you and another person" Marryan said before pulling out her knitting material.

She is only 22 and acts like she is 60....

" Oh, well I did spend a lot of time at that place." I said looking at my flue medicine.

" Yup, I remember sometimes having to babysit you in there." Marryan said, putting her feet on my bed and resting on my rocking chair.

Yes, I have a rocking chair because it's fun to rock back and forth in.

" Yea, I gave you a hard time in there, sorry" I said, remembering all of the trouble I caused in there.

" No, Sweety, don't feel sorry. I loved to see one of God's children enjoying youth and going on what you called an Adventure. You were always so happy, you and that other boy were always full of spirit." She said getting up to make me  some soup.

Adventure? .....

I laid my head down and rested because I still wasn't feeling so well.
I spent the next 20 minutes pondering over what seemed to be the freaking " Word Of The Day". Then as if I got hit by lighting my memory had manged to tie in the word Adventure to my past.

I sat up and scrambled through my memory. Recalling what I said and linking it to the "Adventure" I was off to  as a kid.

........There's no way! No, No, No!

That adventure...that isn't something I am suppose to start it hasn't been time yet to start it.

"  Don't let the shadows lurk beneath what lies true. It's a journey we all must face, but I believe you can do it, for me? Tell me how is it? When the time comes you won't know, it gets us like that, you won't be ready because it sneaks up on us like that. When that has happened rather you realize it or not, your journey has started....."

Suddenly I am not so keen on this adventure.....
