" I...W-We...Well you se-see..."
Savia was at lost for words, stumbling over herself as she tried to explain while looking at the rage in her mother's eyes
" what? Don't tell me you can't speak English now?"
Ms.Handerson said to her daughter. She took a breath and sat down near my mother.
My mother's mood seemed to eased as time passed by and at this moment she looked like she wanted to end everything, but knowing that Ms.H wouldn't let this topic go so easily she just sat there waiting patiently, unlike Ms.H, for Savia to continue her sentence.
I took the moment to look around the room and spotted Zeryan winking at me with one of his stupid ass grins on his face. I rolled my eyes and faked like I was itching my eyes as I gave him the middle finger.
" Novy, may you please explain or help Savia out on what she is trying to say? Also don't act like I didn't just see what you did there" my mother said while making it clear that she saw my little hand gesture.
How the hell does she see and hear everything?
I nodded my head and took a moment to sort my mind and the events together, I wanted to make it as short and precise as possible.
" You see I wanted to go on an adventure, so we did. We went near the river planning to spend a night and be back, but that didn't happen because I was spooked by a small bug and ran and tripped on something causing I and Bobby to fall into the river. Tob and Sav came down trying to check on us. Later we realized there was no way out-"
I stopped for a moment to catch my breath and proceeded.
" and then we just chilled in the river hoping and praying for someone to find us. Zeryan found us and brought us home." I finished my little story and looked at everyone.
" So are you telling me all of this was caused by you?" Ms.H said, sounding like she was slowly building up again.
" Yes ..." I said straight out.
It's not like it wasn't, I did have a lot to do with it, but it wasn't intentional.
" Because of a selfish act you caused this to happened? You- " Ms.H was cut off by my brother.
" With all do in respect I would like to say that what happened in that river was an accident. Yes, my baby sister's actions might have caused a ruckus and made things a little bit worst. But i think it is wrong to call her selfish. You didn't even asked if she was doing this for herself. Knowing Novy she was doing it for everyone. That's how she always thinks, she probably wanted to have fun with everyone. Now I know you are mad and angry about the spook and stress this little event has caused but it is out of your place to call Novy such a word. She is not your child and I know you have known her since she was 6 but please leave the yelling and shit to our mother." Zeryan said looking at Ms.H
Zeryan, hates when people talk rudely towards us, his family. It's one thing he doesn't let slide.
My mother sat there smirking a little at Ms.H and looking at Zeryan surprise, probably shocked at how he spoke.
I guess the kid is smart!
Ms.H sat there at lost for words while her anger was quietly boiling over.
" Sherry, I think you should let this go. I can clearly see now that the kids weren't intentionally trying to stay away from home for so long. It was an accident, we can't get mad at that, can we?"
my mother said while looking at Ms.H and then she turned her gaze towards me and said,
" Now we can get mad at the fact that they didn't bother to call and that was not caused by any accident. My child and your children didn't bother to call us and that wasn't my daughter's fault. The Triplets could have called you. They also didn't have to go, but they did, and that's okay, I will handle my daughter's poor decision later. Now I don't know about you but I am going to take this as an accident and go grab a drink with the girls because I already had plans to do so before this fiasco."
