"So what now?" I asked as we emerged from the woods. Percy shrugged.
"We should be getting off to bed. I'm leader of the cabin and.." I cut him off.
"Who died and made you leader?" I joked nudging him. Percy laughed.
"Nobody died." He said with a small chuckle. "When I came here and got claimed. I was the only one in the cabin for a while. So I was automatically the leader. Unless you have a problem with that. You can fight me for it." Percy said glancing at me his green eyes shining.
"Seriously?" I asked crossing my arms and slowing to a stop. Percy nodded running a hand through his hair.
"How would we fight?" I asked.
"Swords." He replied.
"A massive water fight sounds more fun." I replied continuing to walk. Percy laughed and looked at the ground.
"Do you really want to fight for it?" He asked mischievously.
"Psh. No. I can barely hold a sword correctly. Much less fight you with one and assuming you've had years of training. I would loose." I said gesturing out while Percy chuckled at my dismay.
"People say I'm the best swordsman." Percy said slowly. I snorted
"Now you're just rubbing it in." Percy laughed wit me.
"I still think Luke was better than me." I recognized his use of past tense.
"Was?" I asked lightly.
"He died. Died a hero." Percy said firmly as if he was trying to convince himself and not just tell me.
"Sounds like a great guy." I said trying not to step on any toes. Percy was frowning but looked back up at me with a smile.
"Yeah he was." We were silent.
"So since you're leader of the cabin do I have to like listen to you?" I asked. Percy laughed.
"Yeah." I groaned. "I'm not that bad I swear." Percy said holding up one hand and the other of his chest like he was in the scouts. I rolled my eyes.
"Is there like a curfew here?" I asked. Percy shrugged.
"Depends on the cabin leader." He replied.
"So are you the sort of pansy that goes to bed early?" I ask Percy snorts.
"No not really? Are you?" He asks.
"Never!" I say on horror shaking my head. Percy laughs.
"So what time do you usually go to sleep at?" he asks as we pass the volleyball pit where a couple of kids are playing a late night game. I bite my lip before i answer.
"It depends." i tell him slowly.
"On what?" he says pushing for an answer.
"I don't actually really sleep much." i said shyly kicking a rock out in front of me.
"You don't? Why not?" he asks concern in his voice. I shrug and don't meet his eyes.
"I have insomnia and i get awful dreams." i say a shiver running down my spine just thinking about it.
"Is that why there are visible bags under his eyes." hes teasing me but I'm being serious.
"Shut up!" i say punching his arm.
"Aright, alright jeez." he says with another laugh rubbing the spot where i hit him good natuerdly. "How bad are they on a scale of one to ten." he asks seriously.
