Danny's POV

After reconciling with my Dad over the phone, he met all of the guys at the fragrance store and we're now looking at various fragrances and candles. "I can't believe Cynthia said something so inhospitable! You know what, Danny? I'm filing for divorce with her." Dad says. Finally, I think in my head. "So, Danny, do you think Kendra would like the Jasmine or the lavender candle?" Randall queries as he raises both the candles in the jar one by one. "Jaelyn told me that Violet's middle is Jasmine. You should know information about Kendra and Violet because it's been two years since we know Jaelyn, Kendra, and Violet." I refer.

"Oh, yeah! You're right! True that, true that." Randall lies. Shaking my head from side to side, I begin to chuckle. "It's like our roles reversed by our ages. Like, I'm the middle child and you're the youngest. Remember what Ms. Vivian said, 'Be the monogamous Mack Daddy for Kendra,' now that she's divorced." I recall.

"Yeah, after that asshole left her for another man. I would never leave her and Violet because she really needs a father figure in her life." Randall says and places the lavender candle back on the shelf when my cell phone rings. I look at the caller ID to see Momma calling me. I tap my finger on the answer icon and put the phone to my ear. "Hey, Momma. What's going on?" I answer.

"Danny, you really need to get to the hospital! It's Jaelyn!" Momma exclaims. Panic sets in through my body as my chest becomes heavy and my heart begins pounding. "What happened to Jaelyn? What happened to her? Is she alright?" I anxiously interrogate. "She's experiencing mild cramps after she got into a fight with Cynthia and her sister and we're at the Mount Sinai Hospital. So, I need all of you guys to stop doing what you're doing and get your asses to the frickin' hospital immediately!" Momma yells through the speakers after my finger accidentally taps on the speakerphone icon.

"Okay, we'll be right there, Momma!" I assure to Momma before I hang up my phone. I turn to the guys and notify them, "Guys, we need to go! Jaelyn's in the hospital!" "Danny, can I check the Jasmine scented candle out before we leave?" Randall asks. Breathing a deep ad heavy sigh, I slap my hand against the side of my cheek and shake my head. "Oh, mio Dio (Oh, my goodness!)" I irritatingly mutter in Italian. "Hurry up, Randall!" I suck my bare teeth and roll my eyes, waiting for him to check out his candle. And when he gets his order in a bag, he looks over at the shelf of air fresheners. I shake my head again and I'm about to speak through my gritted teeth until Dad barks, "Randall Todd Walker, get your behind over and let's go!" I turn to see if some of the customers witness my father's rebuke and they do. We all leave the mall and get in our separate cars while some of us ride with the other guys who didn't bring their cars with them.

Jaelyn's POV

After being wheeled into a room while I lay my back on the gurney, this particular nurse starts asking me questions. "Are you experiencing ovarian cysts, Ms. Rodriguez?" I snap my head at her and give her this crazy look by scrunching my eyebrows together and my eyes enlarge. "What the fuck are ovarian cysts? Do you have ovarian cysts?" I snap when the stab-like punctures occurs in my lower abdomen. "Ooh!" I hiss at the pain and incline my body almost going up. Along with the nurse pushing me to the hospital room, the women come into the hospital room to be by my side. The nurse tests my stomach with a stethoscope. "Jaelyn, are you pregnant or nursing?"

I shake my head. "No, I'm not pregnant." I exhale through my nose. "Please, make yourself comfortable." The nurse calmly tells me before she departs the room.

A hand rests over mine in a ball and I look up at my Mom. "Mom," I begin sniffling as a single tear slides down on my face. "What's going on with me?" I question the same time as my nose flares and exhales the air out of my nostrils, squeezing my eyes shut and tight.
