Shaylene's POV

After that humiliating incident with the banana peel, the rest of my day was wonderful. Normally I would be distraught after something awful like that, but it was okay because Jarrod, the love of my life, helped me in front of the whole school and showed his love and dedication. Afterwards we held hands in all of our classes, which we have all of them together. Also, Josh, the other love of my life,  was there too, so I could play hard to get and make him super jealous of my relationship with Jarrod.

We held hands as we walked into the lunchroom, me with my super stylish designer monogrammed handbag that I used for a lunchbox,  and poor Jarrod without at lunch. I guess I would have to share with him. Oh, well, that'll just increase our romantic tension.

As I pulled out my gourmet Chinese house salad (ugh, this again, mom?!), Jarrod looked at me with puppy dog eyes and brushed some cheese off my lips. I sighed at the touch of his hand, feeling the connection deep in my heart.

But then the moment was shattered by Jasmine, who was making out with her new boyfriend across the cafeteria. I didn't even know who he was, but that's okay, because that means he's an unpopular loser, just like Jasmine. Jasmine stopping kissing and glared at me with dagger eyes. I knew trouble was coming.

I pecked Jarrod on the lips and said, "Babe, I love you. I'll be right back."

I walked slowly towards Jasmine, feeling the whole cafeteria's eyes on me. I made sure to sway my hips and swish my hair, taking advantage of the attention. The cafeteria got quiet.

Jasmine had gone back to making out, so I grabbed her ugly rat tail of hair and broke their kiss.

"You little biotch! Stay away from my man! I know you're trying to date the whole grade, but you can't have my baby."

Jasmine smirked at me. I wanted to smack her ugly makeup-caked face. "I bet every boy in the grade would want to date me."

"Liar!!" I screamed, but suddenly I heard a noise. I spun around. Half the boys in the sixth grade were standing up.

"We would date Jasmine," they said in unison.

Tears blinding me, I slapped Jasmine and raced out of the cafeteria to the nearest bathroom, where I locked myself in a stall and cried my heart out. How could my best friend do this to me? I always knew she was no good. And Jarrod! He didn't come to my defense! So much for true love! I though we were more than that! I guess I'd have to go back to my first love, Josh.

I knew that my makeup was a mess, so I decided to stay in the bathroom until school ended. But then, I heard my mother outside the bathroom.

"SHAYLENE ABIGAYLE JOHNSON! Come out of that bathroom right now! Don't make me come in there! You are in HUGE trouble!!"

Uh oh. If my mom was here, I WAS in huge trouble. First I broke the no dating rule (but we were true loves!), then I slapped someone (but she deserved it), and now I was disobeying her. What if she took my phone away!? I don't think I could live!

I have the latest iPhone 7, and I have a super cute designer case. It's monogrammed with my initials, SAJ, and it has cute little sparkles all over it. Everyone is jealous because it's so cute. I have every hot boy's phone number, including Jarrod and Josh (well, I got Jarrod's this morning). My favorite apps are Snapchat and Instagram. On Snapchat, I have streaks with every hot boy, plus Jasmine. Ew, so much for that. I'm her best friend, I have a 300 day streak with her, and she STILL betrays me! On Instagram, I have 1085 followers and I get so many likes! Hot boys from all over the country follow me and comment how cute I am. But anyway, it would be a DISASTER for me to lose my phone.

"HONEY COME OUT RIGHT NOW OR I'M TAKING AWAY YOUR PHONE AND YOUR IPAD AND YOUR COMPUTER FOR 10 MONTHS. PLUS, YOU'RE GROUNDED!" Her mom shrieked.

"Mom, I'm not coming out of here. My life is over," I wept.

"I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU AS YOUR MOTHER< I'M TALKING TO YOU AS THE PRINCIPAL AND NOW I'M CALLING THE P.E TEACHER."

"Mom, you won't"

"YES I WILL. I'll BE BACK, AND YOU HAD BETTER BE OUT BY THE TIME I RETURN!"

It turns out the PE teacher was gone, so they had to call the cops to break down the door, since all the teachers are old geezers who can't crawl under the stall door to unlock it. I sure wasn't going to do that. Any way, before they came, I developed a great plan. I crawled under the stall door to the  next stall over just as the police hit the door open with the big metal canister. They hit the one I was in,  just as I crawled to the next one. At the last stall, I stood up, but I had forgotten the door didn't lock, so when the police hit that door, it hit my head and I fell backward and fell into the toilet. I screamed and got up, but they hit the door again, knocking me unconscious. As i slipped into darkness, I thought I heard Jarrod's beautiful voice on the loudspeakers, calling a lockdown. Maybe he was going to save me....
