Annabelle Lacetta Abolinns (Annie) is finally leaving for her dream college all the way in beautiful England. The Xavierian School of Art and Theater. She's been dreaming of this day since she took an interest in acting when she was just a small child. Both her and her sweet parents helped save up enough money to get her in and pay for all of her books and her dorm room. She couldn't be more grateful. But the thing is, she finds out her roommate is the boy most every girl would kill to have. But to her, he's the boy who abandoned her in 6th grade. *THIS IS A CANON-DIVERGENT RETELLING OF 2017'S HEY ARNOLD! THE JUNGLE MOVIE* I wrote this story from 2005-2011, back when The Jungle Movie looked like it had a snowball's chance of being developed. In the original edit of the story, I gave Arnold the last name of Schwartz; official canon confirms that his last name is actually Shortman. Fan consensus at the time had already come to this conclusion, so when I re-released the story on Deviantart, that was one of the first changes I made. At the time when I initially wrote the story, it was script format, as I wasn't quite comfortable with writing traditional narrative. Now, with several other fanfics under my belt, I feel like it's time to re-visit the story one final time and present it in a way that most fans would prefer to have it read. It may seem redundant to post this again now that the story was officially concluded in 2017, but I'd like one final opportunity to express what I was hoping for from The Jungle Movie.
