Chapter 4

After taking a shower, I walked out into the now picked up room as Kay walks into the now empty bathroom to shower, flipping me off in the process as I laughed and thanked her. I decided to go simple casual and got dress in a black halter top, army green joggers, and my SK8 High Vans. I blow dried and straightened my hair, leaving it flow loosely down to my mid back and applied some regular mascara and lip balm. By the time I finished up picking any loose items off the floor after finishing my look, Kay had finished in the bathroom. She went with a black halter top as well, white jeans, and black converse and let her curly hair loose and air dry. "You ready senorita?" I asked her as she applied mascara and lip balm as well, "Let's go, you're paying. I cleaned up the room." She said as she winked at me while getting her phone as I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone and Harley Quinn wallet purse.

I grabbed my keys and locked our dorm room as we head outside to my car. I drove us to Starbucks, we may be Latin but Starbucks is allowed okay? Okay. We got to the cafe spot and decided to get off, heading inside. "How're you girls doing?" The cashier said with a smile, "Hey, can I have an English muffin sandwich, and a mocha cookie crumble frappuchino? What about you Kay?" I look over to Kay who was googling the cheese sandwich in display. "Oh, sorry, can I have the egg and cheese sandwich with a caramel frappe?" She asked as the lady ringed up the order as I paid.

In about five minutes, we got our order and sat down at the table by the window as Kay started asking me questions, "Okay, do you have any idea where he could be taking you? Do you know what you're going to wear?!" I laughed as I sipped on my drink and took a bite out of my breakfast sandwich, once I swallowed, I responded, "No idea to both these questions, think we'd have to stop by the mall? I don't really have anything for dates, lately the population of my wardrobe is professional, casual, or club." I said, shrugging slightly.

"Finally, we need a good shopping day. Hurry it up and let's go then." Kay says as she finishes her sandwich and continues sipping on her drink. I laugh at her eagerness and finish off my own sandwich, grabbing my drink to go as we exit Starbucks and get back in the car.

I put on Breaking Benjamin in the car, Diary of Jane playing out loud as I start to sing along to it. It kind of brought back some memories from high school and made me smile. Once the song was over, Kay smiled and looked over at me, "Can you believe you used to perform this song?" She asked as I chuckled and nodded, "Damn right, memories man." I thought back to high school, being part of the chorus and this was one of my favorite solo pieces to do.

In a matter of 15 minutes, we reached the mall and got out of my car. It was only noon right now, so that means we have about 4 hours to find some new clothes, and makeup as well before tonight. Kay and I linked arms and walked into one of our favorite stores. We looked through the racks after telling the workers we're just looking, as Kay pulled out a few dresses on hangers for herself and some suggestions for me as I grabbed some as well. We went to the back to the fitting rooms and tried on our choices.

"Okay, first option exposure, in 3,2,1 !" Kay said from the dressing room beside me as we both opened the doors and showed each other our options. She came out in a sparkly nude midi dress with a bit of a thigh split and a whole lot of cleavage exposure, "Yes bitch oof, get that one." I said as she did a hair flip and looked over my outfit; option one was a white fitted dress with a plunging neckline. "I'm going to steal that from you girl, it hugs your figure so good. Let's get it!" She said as I nodded and we went back inside. I got out of the dress and got into the second option laid out, this was I believe Kay's choice, "Ready, set, go!" I said as we opened our doors once again. Kay stepped out in a fitted midi dark green sequin cover dress with another slight thigh split and cleavage and twirled a bit, "Love it, it's perfect for you!" I said as she looked over my outfit; Kay's choice was a black high low dress with laced sleeves and sweetheart neckline, "Beautiful but not it for tonight," Kay says as I agree. We head back inside as I noticed I had one more option ready, Let's hope this is it.
