"Oh come on Y/N. This isn't so bad." my best friend Skylar yelled over the music, she handed me a red solo cup and i sighed "Yeah you're right Sky. Sitting around in a dark hot room with sweaty teenagers fucking everywhere. This is great!" i replied sarcastically taking a sip of my drink, it was strong whatever it was and it burned as it made its way down my throat. She rolled her eyes "Shut up, we'll find you some eye candy. That'll make you less grumpy." she winked and i rolled my eyes in return, and then i saw him, moving across the room with confidence, his black leather jacket slung on his shoulder. The gray T-shirt he wore hugging his body nicely, his lips curled into a toothy grin as he met with people i assumed he knew, they hugged quickly before pulling away as he scanned his eyes around the room. He looked my direction and our eyes met, his chocolate brown eyes sparkled as he smiled at me, his tan skin glowed as he raised one of his hands to give me a friendly wave "No fucking way." Sky continued "Calum is totally waving at you." she nudged my shoulder and i looked down "He's probably waving at someone else.." i mumbled, she kicked my arm with her foot "Shut up, he's so into you." i chuckled and looked up, he was still looking my direction, i waved to him and he smiled again licking his lips slightly before his friend nudged him and pointed at me. I blushed and tried to not die, Calum looked at the floor as his friends started mocking him and pushing him, i could see his cheeks faintly turn pink, once his friends stopped he looked back over at me, he whispered something to his friend and then made his way through he crowd. My eyes widened as he was coming my direction, Skylar screamed and nudged me again "Holy fuck he's coming over here!" she said loudly, although it was like a whisper compared to how loud the music was, i chugged the rest of my drink down out of nervousness, Sky just laughed at me, he finally made it over here and smiled at me once again. Sky hopped off the counter and cleared her throat "Well you two have fun!" she yelled, i turned around "Wait Sky!" i yelled after her, i sighed and turned back to Calum "Hi.." i said nervously, he bit his bottom lip "Hi." after a moment of silence he got close to my face and spoke "I didn't think you were coming." just the fact that Calum was this close to my face made me want to scream, i stood on my toes to reach his ear, considering he was like 4 inches taller than me i think i did a pretty good job "I don't think anyone did." i chuckled out, he got close to my ear once again "I'm really glad that you're here." i smiled looking at him "I am too.." my eyes glanced over to his friends behind him mocking him and making sexual jokes, i giggled "Your friends?" i asked pointing to them "What?" he turned around to face them from across the crowd, they waved at us and Calum put his face in one of his hands "Not anymore." he turned back around to face me "Can i get you a drink?" he asked, i nodded smiling "Sure." i followed him to the liquor cabinet and he brought out a new bottle of vodka, he opened it with ease and poured some into some glasses, i was trying to figure out a way to make this conversation less of a socially awkward meet and greet. I felt like i was being pushed into this situation, of course i would love to get to know Calum, who wouldn't? I'm just saying that i don't know how to act, i don't wanna be myself because I'm afraid of him seeing me as weird or some shit like that, i act stupid in front of people i'm practically falling head over heals for. I wonder if he could sense that i was nervous, i'm sure he could, the fact that this amazingly perfect boy is talking to me, a complete opposite, he was my kryptonite. He handed me my drink and i nodded as i gulped it down fast hoping the feeling would hit me and i could be more comfortable "You might wanna slow down." he chuckled out, i scoffed "Oh yeah? Why's that?" i asked a little cocky leaning on the counter making complete eye contact, he licked his lips "The night is just starting. We're supposed to have fun!" he said setting his drink down and looking in my eyes "Then show me what fun is." i said, i was just now starting to feel the effects of the alcohol, i was growing more confident by the minute and i could see him doing to same "Ok." i looked at him a little confused "Ok what?" i chuckled "I'll show you what a real night of fun looks like. If you let me.." he put his hand out for me to shake, i sat there for a moment thinking about where this could take us, what he could plan, or what he could do, i wasn't worried at all, matter of fact, this just might be the best night of my life. "Deal.."
