•Mike POV•
I woke up the next day and looked at my clock. 11:15. I jumped up and got ready, eager to talk to Eleven. I had been planning to ask her about why she had used me. I was beyond happy that my mom wasn't making me go to school since we were gone for so long, and Hopper wasn't making Eleven go to school. I grabbed my bike since I still needed to get my license and headed towards the park.

•Eleven POV•
I paced in front of the cherry blossom tree and kicked around the pink petals that had fallen off. I looked up as I heard a bike approach the bench near me. We stopped and looked at each other.

"Hey." I said just above a whisper

"Hey."

He exhaled, leaving a subtle smile on his face. We made our way over to the bench and sat, letting the silence between us scream forever.

"Mike?"

He turned and looked at me, slightly shocked at our eye contact.

"Yea?"

"Why would you hurt me like that?"

He stitched his eyebrows together and looked at his hands.

"Why would you hurt me like that."

"What do you mean?"

I looked up at him, watching him sharply inhale before turning back to me.

"Why would you use me?"

"Mike, what are you talking about? Why would I use you?"

"Because... because you just needed a place to stay."

"That's ridiculous, where would you get an idea like that?"

We held eye contact as the silence made a bubble around the bench. He exhaled and fiddled with his fingers again.

"Landler..."

I watched him while I waited for him to continue.

"I don't know why I believed it, he just repeated it to me so much."

"Oh."

I exhaled and looked at him. I sat up from the back of the bench.

"Why would you cheat on me?"

His eyes grew wide and he sat up, straight as a board.

"Why would I do that? When did you think I-"

"Middle school."

"El, I would never even dream of cheating on you. Who told you that?"

I paused and we both held eye contact.

"Landler..."

He chuckled a little bit which soon turned into laughing hysterically. He stood up and I followed, slowly walking down the path.

"What's so funny?"

"Why would we ever believe him?"
