•Eleven POV•
Max seemed very similar, I'm not sure why. She seemed to notice me too, but I didn't remember her. I decided to brush it off, besides, I don't know anybody else besides the boys, right?•Mike POV•
I slid into the drivers seat of Dustin's car, gripping the wheel tightly. Today Dustin was teaching El, Will and I how to drive, Will had already gone, now it was my turn."You ready dude?"
I nodded, waiting for isntruction.
"Ok put the key in the ignition,"
I put the key in and slowly turned it, not wanting to mess anything up.
"Now use this to put the car in reverse so you can back out of the driveway. When you're in reverse you want to turn the wheel the opposite direction of the way you want to go. When its in reverse, lightly put your foot on the gas."
I nodded, following his instruction. I backed out and waited, my foot on the break.
"Put the car in drive and just go slow,"
I shifted the handle and began to drive. This wasnt too bad.
"STOP!"
I pressed my foot on the break hard and looked at him with panic, afraid that I had messed up.
"Put your hands at 10 and 2,"
I stitched my eyebrows together before he reached over and moved my hands to the correct positions on the wheel. We continued and when we finished Dustin told me I did really great. I jut hope I will finally be able to drive soon instead of taking my bike everywhere.
"Oh boy,"
I looked to Dustin who had a look of fear in his eyes.
"What?"
"Its Elevens turn."
My heart dropped at the thought. It's not that we don't think she can drive, but she barely knows what a telephone is, so a car is not going to be an easy step up from that. I slid into the back and watched El eagerly hop into the front seat.
"Ok, El, this is not going to be easy, ok?"
She looked to Dustin and nodded. He showed her what to do and handed her the keys. She put the key in the ignition and grinned as she put the car in drive, or so we thought. She immediately went into reverse and almost hit a tree.
"STOP!" Dustin screamed
El slammed the breaks and breathed heavily, releasing her grip from the steering wheel. She looked to Dustin who was practically falling out of his seat.
"Sorry..."
He looked up at her and she began laughing hysterically. He started laughing and I joined in too. We became a big car of laughing teens... akward teens.
•Max POV•
I pulled up to a small house with a few balloons attatched to the mailbox. I unbuckled and hopped out of my carseat while yelling,"bye mommy! Bye billy!"
My mom and older brother waved from the front of the car while I walked up to the party with a present in hand. It was a beautiful day in spring and Jane was throwing her 5th birthday party.
"Hey Jane!"
I ran over to my best friend, Jane. She was wearing a grey t-shirt and a pair of her favorite overalls and white sneakers. Her long brown hair was in pigtails and her bangs brushed against her forehead. She bounced in excitment when she saw me and squealed.
