Losing All Sense of Control

Chapter 4

Myra's POV

Moriarty and I jumped into one of his cars that was waiting for us and went on our way to who knows where.

About an hour passed and we reached our destination. A warehouse. In the middle of nowhere. What did I get myself into?

The both of us got out of the car and headed towards the creepy ass warehouse. "What's in there?" I asked as I followed Moriarty. He just looked back at me and smirked. "I've got a really bad feeling about this." I muttered under my breath.

We got inside and it looked way more modern than it did on the outside. Guess you can't judge a book by a cover right? It was filled with futuristic looking equipment and agents in lab coats. "Welcome to the future Myra!" Moriarty said dramatically.

I rolled my eyes, "So what the hell do I have to do?"

"Dr. Stevenson, care to explain to little miss Myra here what you need her to do?" Moriarty asked and a man walked up to the both of us.

"Why hello there Ms. Kiagara. My name is Dr. Stevenson and I have been doing research on your powers for about ten years now and I think that I've finally found something on how we can get you to be able to teleport other characters to different dimensions. All I need you to do is harness some of your energy and create another bond connecting all of the worlds that can be undetected by the others in the so-called MARVEL universe. Do you think you can do that?"

"I mean I guess. I made a promise so I guess I need to keep it. I just don't know how to do that though. All everyone's been saying is that I have these powers but I haven't even used them yet."

"I guess you'll do it today." Dr. Stevenson said and walked towards a large machine which had chair on a platform with a headset with a bunch of wires connected to it. "Please. Take a seat."

I did as he said and he came over to me and helped me put on the headset. "In all my studies, I've learned that you just need to focus on the thing that you want to accomplish and your mind does the rest. I'm going to have your power get harnessed into a gauntlet that is a lot like the ones your friends use but anyone from anyplace can use it. So just sit back relax and concentrate." he said and I closed my eyes and focused on what I needed to do. I didn't know what happened after until I heard someone calling my name. "Myra! Stop what you're doing!" I recognize that voice. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Seb running towards where I was, only to have him stopped by some of Moriarty's men. I blacked out again.

I woke up in a different room. Much like the one that I was in when I was in... oh no...not again. The door of the room opened to reveal none other than Kylo Ren. FML. "Where am I?"

"Where do you think?"

"Well I would say Starkiller Base but that's not where I was before. Where's Moriarty and Sebastian?"

"I can assure you that you are in fact on Starkiller and they both are here too, along with that one man with the short, curly hair, I believe his name is Sherlock Holmes. "

"Are they safe?"

"Yes, Moriarty assured to me that no harm would come to them and I will honor that request. Now, come with me." Kylo said and walked out into the hallway. I followed him to a vast room lit brightly with a large table in the center, surrounded by chairs. Moriarty was in one chair and in another was General Hux.

"Take a seat." Moriarty said to me and I looked to them.

Hux was giving me the dirtiest look he can give and I spoke up, "What are your feelings hurt that I embarrassed you in front of everyone on the bridge?" I knew I pissed him off with my comment because he stood up and started to advance towards me but Kylo told him to sit back down. He did and I spoke again, "So now what are you going to do? I did what you wanted me to do now let my friends and I go."

"Oh Myra. You really think we're going to let you go? You're friends can be arranged but you. You stay. With your power, we can do anything." Moriarty said.

"No, you can't keep me here. I'm leaving with Seb and Sherlock and that's final. You got what you want so let me be."

"There's no questioning about you staying. You will remain here until we decide what to do with you next." Kylo stated.

"No." I said and stood up from my chair, "You can't make me do anything." I started to walk towards the door, "I'm going to get my friends and leave and you can't stop me." I was just about to reach the door when I was stopped in my tracks. Damn Kylo and his stupid Force-powers.

"Don't make this worse for you Myra."

"Or what? You can't kill me. So what are you going to do about it?" He released me and I turned to look at them.

"We still have your precious friends don't we?" said Moriarty.

"So you're going to pull that card again? Really? Do you really think I'm going to help you again after you lied to me last time?"

"I didn't lie to you. I didn't kill your friends."

"But you're threatening them again. All of you are idiots if you think that I'm going to help you again. I've already done something to help you guys, isn't that enough. There's nothing that you can offer to make me stay here."

"I wouldn't say nothing." Hux said. I looked at him confused. "What if I told you that you can bring back your mother..."

"What did you say?"

"You heard me. Have you ever wondered why she was always protecting you from the outside world? She knew about your powers and so did your father but he hated them. He believed that you were cursed and that is why he treated you so badly. Your mother however always wanted to help you by showing you the right paths. She never told you because she thought she was protecting you from what you are. Your mother died saving you and you can save her this time. We can help you. Show you how."

"Fine. Teach me."
