Chapter 19

We finally got home from the hospital and my mum and dad wouldn't leave me alone.

Every minute or so they'd check up on me or try to feed me, and I get that they cared but I hated it, I hated the attention.

I wanted nothing more than Harry to hold me in his chest at the moment so when my mother asked me for the 1000th time "honey do you need anything" I was tempted to spill the beans.

I texted Reese multiple times. I knew he wouldn't see but I wanted him to know that I was thinking of him.

My room was dark and cosy and I finally got round to watching prison break, apart from a few aches and cuts I was ok, but I was still frightened.

I munched on the little snacks my mum made as I was on god knows what season.

"Honey" I hear the door knock and mentally groan.

"Yes mum"

"We've got some guest"

Yay(!)

"Sure come in" I roll my eyes and the door creaks open.

The frown on my face is quickly faded when I see harry but it slowly returns as Chloe comes in standing behind him, the pair holding hands.

"Ella you look awful" Chloe fake gasps.

"Thanks, you too- I mean" my face reddened from my instant answer and mother made wide eyes at me while harry looked adorable holding back his smile.

"Do you remember anything from that night" harry takes a seat on the end of my bed and I seat myself properly.

"No, not really" I shrug.

"At least it wasn't so bad- could've been a lot worse" Chloe says and everyone hums in agreement.

"Harry, do you have the work for the next couple of lesson since I won't be in" I ask and his eyes gleam.

"I can go over it now if you like?"

"She just came out of an accident harry" Chloe laughs

"No it's fine, I want to catch up asap"

"My daughter is so eager" my mum smiles at me proudly and guilt pumps through me.

"Ok fine, how long do you think you'll be?" Chloe asks and looks at her watch impatiently.

"I don't know, if you're in a rush just head home" harry gruffly answers and she fakes a laugh.

"Very well" she smiles. "I hope you get better Ella" she comes towards me and rubs my arm.

Mother follows her down and I wait a few minutes before I turn to harry.

"You don't know how glad I am to see you, I've missed you" he smiles.

"You saw me yesterday" I raise my eyebrow and he pulls me into his lap.

"Really? Felt like years"

"Shut up" I laugh. "I've missed you too" I kiss his stubbly jaw.

"Did I tell you my mum knows I'm with someone"

"What" he pulls my face up and I shake my head with laughter.

"She found the condom, so she kind of guessed anyways"

"Not about us though?"

"Of course not"

"Good" he smiles and I sigh.

"I couldn't even tell anyone, you're the only one I wanted, I wanted you when I woke up in hospital, fuck I can't even say you're my friend without sounding creepy"

"It's just for now Ella"

"You looked happy with Chloe before" I smile at him and he kisses my lips.

"I hate when you sound sad"

"I'm not"

"You can't fool me Ella, and anyways she literally grabbed my hand before we walked in"

"I've got a feeling she's not very fond of me"

"I think she's a little intimated by you"

"Me? Why would I intimidate anyone?"

"Well you're beautiful, very intelligent, adorable" he pinches my cheeks and I pull his hands away. "And you make me smile. A lot"

"Has she ever spoken about me"

"Not directly no, but I'm sure her snide indirect comment are towards you sometimes"

"Oh" is all I could respond. He lays me in the bed and hovers over before sliding his hands on my body.

I tried to force myself to let this happen but something felt so wrong and the look in Harry's eyes made me drown in sorrow when I jerked away from his touch.

"You-you're frightened of me" he gasps and I grab his face and place a kiss firmly on his lips.

"It's too soon, I'm, just I guess still shaken"

"I'm sorry" I breathe and he smiles pushing my hair back.

"Don't apologise, and you can take all the time in the world and I'd still wait for you baby, ok" he kisses me cheek before moving his mouth to my ear. "But please don't take too long darling" he whispers and I chuckle.

"I wish you could stay tonight, I just want you all to myself"

"We can meet up tomorrow? How about we go the movies? Or I finally take my girl to a proper date night"

"Harry" I laugh.

"What, I'm sick of it, if I want to take you out I will" he kisses my forehead and gets up off my bed.

"Where are you going" I rush my words and he smiles sweetly.

"I'm taking my girl out tomorrow" he swiftly leaves my room and I sit on my bed with excitement bubbling through me.
