7. It Was Only A Kiss

*Larissa's P.O.V*

well the news about me and Brad has spread like a wildfire.
I've deactivated my Twitter because of all the hate comments & messages. Ebony is coming round later to speak to me - she said it was important.

My mum had also been told about me and Bradley and she wasn't happy with me. Well that's a bit of an understatement... she's kicked me out.

I'm currently packing my bags after our argument, I ended up in tears because the argument upset Jaylan and made him cry. I wish I could take him with me, but I know I could never do that. I feel really uncomfortable leaving him here with mum, in fact I feel quite panicked about the whole situation. I guess I'm just scared she'll invite men around to the house like she had done once before.

What happened between me and Brad shouldn't have. I know it was just a drunken kiss, but I can't help but feel it meant more than that. I don't have feelings for Brad in any other way than best friends, but I think that recently we have started developing more serious feelings towards one another and I don't want them to progress any further. Bradley is my best friend and has been for many years - I don't want to ever ruin that.

Normally when I get kicked out I would go straight to Brad's house because his mum knew about the whole situation with my mum. However this time things were different, so I called Connor and asked if I could crash at his for a few days.

"Sure you can Rissa, anything for a good friend"

"Thankyou so much Connor, I'll be over in about an hour" I thanked him as I hung up.

oh gosh, it's Ebony. I don't know why I'm so nervous because she's my best friend, but I can't help feeling like what she had to tell me wasn't going to be good.

"Can I come in?" Ebony asked holding something behind her back.

"Of course, would you like a drink?" I asked.

"No, I'm um busy so it'll have to be a quick chat" she replied, taking her shoes off and following me upstairs.

"So what is it that's so important?" I asked her taking a sip of my green tea.

"Look, I know you're going to be annoyed with me about not telling you and I know I'm a crap friend for not telling you sooner but I just felt like it was time I got it off my chest"

"You're worrying me Eb, just tell me" I replied, my heart pounding faster.

"It's okay Rissa, I'm fine it's just I have feelings that I think might change our relationship slightly"

"Look, for a while now I have had feelings for Bradley, and well he is all I really ever think about, I like him a lot. The reason I kissed him at that party was because I wanted him to like me more than he likes you. You two are best friends and you care about each other so much. I guess I'm just jealous of how good of a friendship you two have, and I took it a little too far"
Ebony blurted out.

"What do you mean 'a little too far' ebony?" I asked, frowning.

"I was the one who told your mum and spread the whole thing about you and Bradley in the hot tub" she looked down, twiddling her thumbs.

"WHAT!" I screamed my mood suddenly turning for the worst.

"Look Larissa I'm so sorry, I didn't know she would come down on you as hard as she has" She said look slightly sympathetic but I good see the smugness in her eyes.

"GET OUT!" I roared pushing her out of my bedroom and slamming the door behind me.

Why would she do such a thing? why would my so-called best friend do such an evil thing to hurt me just because of her jealousy towards me. She really has nothing to be jealous of.

I suddenly felt the red hot tears roll down my cheeks as I opened her present to find a locket with a picture of me and her inside, I threw it away and decided to freshen up as I had to be at Connor's in 30 minutes, and I felt like a total wreck after all this stress - it was only a kiss.
