" Alexavier, look to mansion while I'm gone."

" Yes, my lady" His golden hair shimmered as he bowed down respectfully.

" Where to Mistress?"

" Portman square."

Katie looked out the carriage. Drinking in the view of the green scenery. Fresh damp smell of the town after the rain relaxed and lull her to sleep.

Crash!

Her body jumped out of her seat at the sudden collision. Her ivy eyes flew open as adrenaline rushed through her. Heart beat pounding to the rhythm of anticipation. " Mistress! Are you alright?"

" I'm perfectly fine. Adam," she questioned " what on earth happen?"

" I'm extremely sorry my lady, one of our horses lost control and crashed into the opposite carriage. My apology my lady."

" It's quite alright. Is anybody injured?"

" A young boy was caught in the accident. I think he is unconscious."

Katie gasp. Opening the carriage herself, she stepped down to see the poor boy in a bloody mess. Judging by his appearance he was around 4 years younger than Katherin, he looks around eight or nine years old.His dirty clothing suggest he was a peasant. " Adam, carry the boy into the carriage. He needs medical treatment immediately."

" Yes. Right away Mistress."

Katie heard a voice. " What happen sebastian?"

" My apology, My lord. But we got caught in an accident." Katie stepped into the carriage and laid the brown haired boy on her lap.

" I sincerely apology for this accident. One of our horse, black beauty has lost control. If there is any damage we will take care off it." Adam bowed regretfully at the butler.

" Not a problem at all. But the boy-"

" My lady will take him into her care."

" Sebastian." Came a young spoiled voice. " We are late."

" Yes my lord."

Katie took out her handkerchief and wiped away blood. She fanned the boy as she ran her finger through his chocolate hair. Gazing out the carriage. Emerald eyes met with dark blue one. Everything moved slowly.Even though it was brief. The mistress felt something strong connecting her to the noble she crashed into. Like a bond, made out of titanium, strong and tough. Connected with heart strings.

" Adam."Katie Leaned her body out of the carriage just in time to see the black carriage disappear down the next turn." Back to the mansion."

" Yes. Mistress."

" Welcome back. My lady." Alexavier opened the carriage with a shock expression once his silver eyes met the small unconscious figure laying on his mistress lap.

" Our carriage crashed with another, and this poor boy was in the middle of the accident." Katie placed the boy's arms around her as Alexavier took him from her, " treat him immediately."

" Right away my lady. I'll also prepare a bath for you my lady." He pointed out blood stain on her fair emerald dress. All Katie did was nod.

" Adam. Tend to black beauty. Check if she's alright. I can't have her losing control again."

" Yes, mistress."

Katie let out a sigh as her body was enveloped by warm water. The scent of white rose filled the room. Rosa canina and rosebay willowherb decorated below the window sill and the plant pot next to the sink. Her reflective toilet seems to drink in the pink color of these flower, making the room glow rosy.

" A letter from the queen, my lady." Katie's finger nimbly open the silver letter.

Dear Katherin Adorthine Terrasius,

My raven. I feel terrible,Young peasant children on the streets disappear one by one without trace. I would like you to solve this case with Ciel Phantomhive, it hurts me immensely to see this happen. I would like you to protect the children of England, nobles or peasant. Bring them back to me, my raven.

" What is it my lady?"

" Apparently young peasants on the streets went missing one by one. There was no trace. The queen felt ill by this. The queen's black raven and the queen's watch dog were ordered to solve this case." Placing the letter back into the envelope she handed letter back to her butler through the rosy silk lining which separates her and her butler." Alexavier, I order you to find out as much as you can from this and report to me at once."

" Yes my lady."

After Katie felt Alexavier left the room, she cover her bare body with a pure white towel. Slipping into a cerise dress, she made her way to the sleeping boy in the guest's wing. Katie heard running footsteps and a shift through the door of the room. As she let herself in she was met with the brown haired boy. He was cleaned up and was wearing a oversized white shirt asleep.

" I know you are awake. It's alright" she approached the boy, " you're safe now." She sat herself at the edge of the bed. Her timid fingered petted his chocolate hair but he flinched away.

" Where am I? Daddy?" The boy turned around but to his surprise he was met with a young girl. "Who are you?"

She simply giggle, " you're not making any sense."

" I-" he was speechless. Katie saw this and thought he was just anxious, she wrapped her hands around his smaller one.

" I am Katie Terrasius," she smiled brightly clearly calming the boy down, " What's your name?"

" I-" he looked down shamefully, " I don't have one."Katie played with a strand of jet black hair. He was slightly scaring her. "Even if I did, I don't remember it."

Her emerald eyes darted around the room, in search to find something to soothing her nervousness. Only to realize Alexavier wasn't here. " how about I give you a name?" His empty hazel eyes filled up with hope, "what about . . . Hmm" Katie gave it a thought. " how does Jayden sound?" The boy continue to look at her with wide eyes. " Y-You don't like it?"

" N-No! I love it."

" Alright Jayden. Where's your family?"

" I-I live in an orphanage. A noble took us in. He said we were a big happy family ." Jay shouted enthusiastically, only for it to drop down low. "But dad was really cruel. One time Jessica broke a dish, she was kicked and beaten up for it." He shivered. That was when Katie noticed scars on his fragile body.

" What did they do to you?" But it only came out as a whisper.

" Daddy punished us by whipping us with his cane. He said it was for our own good. So I can become a good boy" he smiled brightly. " but brother Davit told me to run away. Dad was really mad, but I don't know what we did wrong. The last thing I remembered was running into a carriage and waking up here." Katie was speechless. " Katie, you are very pretty." Jay shyly scratched his cheek, " pretty like sister Jessica. I really like your eyes. I bet daddy would like them too. Not to mention you have really soft hair." He leaned in and hug her. " they smell like flowers. Those in garden of eden daddy often talked about." Jayden words became slurred. Just like that the hazel eyed boy fell asleep. He reminded her of Edward when they were young, her lost brother.
