I was able to convince Blaze to stay. He stayed about another hour as we just chatted along. But I couldn't help but think of all the things he said he's done. He's just going to stay in town, being a mechanic. But he always seems off when he's talking about his job. Like it takes longer to say things. Like he's lying. But why would he lie? Maybe he has a different job and is embarrassed about it? But what type of job would make you embarrassed? I tried not to think about it to much. The days started to mush together as it seems to be the same. Get up, go to work, come home, and every other day, see Silver and/or Blaze.

Blaze never talked about leaving again. I hope he doesn't. Silver found a easy, at home job. And everyone seems to be doing fine. Trying to act like the Emily thing never happened.

Days passed. Then weeks. Time just went on. I went to another day at the restaurant. The normal pattern. Tie the black apron around my waist. The golden bell with ring and fill my ears as a different person came in each time. But this time, I saw Silver come in. A thin. light gray sweater draped over her torso. Her light coffee brown eyes meeted me.

"Hey Silver!" I spoke up, "What are you doing here?"

She did a soft smile and came up to the little bar table. "What? I can't come and say hi?" She did a small laugh. "I just wanted to, and get a meal too."

"No, of course you can come by anytime. What would you like?"

I repeated what she wanted in my head, but I couldn't help but notice something was off. Her smile didn't reach her eyes this time. And her reaction to things were different. I gave her a nod as I started to get her food ready. Once I did, I sat down with her. She waited for her fries to cool off as it seemed like she wanted to tell me something.

"Hey Galaxy?" She asked, looking at her food, then back up to me.

I guess I was right. "Yeah?"

"Have you noticed anything...strange lately about uh Blaze?" She asked, a little choppy on her sentences.

I paused, "yeah, a little bit. Seems like something has been on his mind. Why you ask?"

"Oh...I just uh wanted to see if I wasn't to only one." She gave out a studdered chuckle.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, as Silver stirred her fries in ketchup.

"Huh? Uh yep. I'm good. Just a lil tired."

I could tell something was off, but didn't want to push. "Alright. Well I'm here if you wanna talk about anything, okay?"

"Of course." She gave a smile, but it didn't seem to reach up the her eyes this time.

She finish her meal, as we both went on with our days. As the sun started to set, and darkness crepted in, the open sign flickered as I turned it off, as I headed my way home. The familiar wood of the house greeted me. I went in side and flopped on my bed, and let out a sigh. A silent buzzing noise catches my attention. I put my hand in my Jean pocket, and pull out my small phone. A green call button shows on the screen, and I slide it, and put the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?" I mumble and I use my other hand to rub my eye.

"Uh. Hey! Its Blaze."

"Oh hey, what's up?" I asked, not sure why he'd call me.

"I just wanted to say hi and ask you something."

"Okay...sure. what you wanna ask?"

"Uh...well I just Er kinda noticed something." He paused like he's making things up on the spot. "Have you been noticing Silver act strange lately? I just wanna know im not the only one." He gives a small chuckle.

What's going on? They both asked the same thing. Like almost word by word, on the same day. It's like they are purposely doing it, or both wanted to ask me, like they know. But they both have been acting weird.

"No...?" I lied.

"Oh okay, I must be over reacting. Forget about it!" He forces a laugh. "I'll see you soon." He says as he hangs up.

Alright...so Silver and Blaze asked the same exact thing, the same exact day. Are they messing with me? I had to make sure I kept more of a eye out. But everything seems to be okay.

Unknown pov:

"Yes. Okay." I agreed as I talked on the phone. "She doesn't have a clue....yes I'm sure. Okay we'll wait and make sure for 100%. I'll see you tomorrow. Don't keep me waiting."

Galaxy's pov:

The night came fully, as stars twinkled. Billions of them. Not a gray cloud in sight. Our world was made in a galaxy with the chance of us being here is 1 out of a billion. But if there is billions and billions of Galaxys, then there is bound to be other life, right? I sat up thinking about random things, and trying to think on they Silver and Blaze would be acting so...weird. With thoughts swirling around my mind, I feel into a light sleep.
.
.
I jerk awake by a another vibrate noise. It's my day off. I look over at my gray clock, with dust falling on the top. 10:07. I look at my phone to see Blaze calling. Again. I answer as a groan from being woken up.

"Hello?" I cracked out of my voice, speaking for the first time this morning.

"Hey! I just wanted to say sorry for the weird call last night! I was just tired and overthinking." This time he didn't studder at all. Like the planned every word. But he seemed a lot better. "Oh! And once I cleared up, Silver didn't seem off. I don't know what I was thinking." He said with a soft chuckle.

"Okay...well thanks for letting me know." I sigh.

"Oh did I wake you up?"

"Yeah, but I should of woken up earlier. It's 10 already."

"Alright...well Silver and I are gonna swing by today, with it being your day off and all." He said cheerfully.

"Okay. Well see you soon." I say as I put the bright screen away from my pale, cold face, and hang up.  He seems better. Hopefully he is.
.
.
.
And I seemed to be right. When Silver and Blaze came over, I saw that there mood has completely changed from stress and studdery, to carefree. And Silvers bright smile reached her eyes this time. I was probably the one who was overthink it all.

If only I was right.
