Chapter 11: He Knew

My eyes fluttered opened and I was greeted by the warm sun rays on my back. I felt warmth spread throughout my body and I snuggled into that warmth. I sighed happily and closed my eyes again when I heard a soft chuckle.
My eyes snapped open and I flew up into a sitting position. I looked towards where the noise was and saw Natsu leaning against the wall. He only had a towel wrapped around his waist and his arms were crossed, a smirk across his face as he stared at me.
I stared blushing profusely and I looked down at my chest. I saw that I was wearing a white nightgown and the top was a sort of corset. I blushed harder as I scrambled to cover myself.
He chuckled and shook his head.
"We didn't do anything bad if you were wondering."
I immediately sighed in relief and I saw sadness flicker through his eyes before he returned to his original stature.
He walked over to me and crouched down next to the bed, right next to me.
Our faces were so close together and it made me blush even more, but he didn't seem to notice.
"So, do you want to know what happened?" He asked.
I nodded, seeing as though if I would've spoken it would've come out as an embarrassment squeak.
"Well, after you fought off those guards who tried to take you back home you started crying and you wouldn't respond to me. You blacked out and I carried you back to the ship. You've been out for 3 days." Natsu explained and I nodded, soaking in the information.
"Have we left-wait." I said, a realization hitting me.
"What's wrong Luce?" Natsu asked.
"How did you know those guards were trying to take me home?" I asked.
"Oh, that." He said and chuckled awkwardly. He scratched the back of his neck and then look ed straight into my eyes.
"I've known you were princess Lucy Heartfilia from the beginning. But I wanted to wait until you told us." He said and looked down, sighing disappointedly.
He seemed upset, like he did me wrong somehow.
I put my hand on his shoulder and he looked back up into my eyes.
"It's ok Natsu. I should've told you all from the beginning. But I was afraid you would kick me out or sell me back to my father." I said and Natsu looked kinda of offended but understanding.
"I get it. I just hope you know we wouldn't do that." He said.
"I know Natsu." I said and he nodded.
He got up and walked back over to his drawers. He grabbed some clothes and walked into a small door that was next to his desk.
I'm guessing it was a bathroom.
And then I finally realized where I was.
"WHY AM I IN YOUR ROOM AGAIN!!" I screamed in embarrassment and the door to the bathroom opened.
He was fully dressed now and chuckled as he walked out.
I blushed again and ran out of the captions quarters and towards my own.
