Belle happily walked to the library, where she would grab her knew book to stick her nose in. She looked around her village as she walked. She loved the small French village she lived in, but she wanted more, she didn't want to be Belle in a small French village, isolated from the world, forever. She also desperately wanted to get away from village hero, Gaston, and his weird friend Le fou. Gaston had always seemed to love himself, and Belle had hoped that he would learn that she wasn't interested in marrying him, but he never seemed to get the hint. Belle wished that Gaston would stop swooning over her, and pick one of the other girls in the village that seemed perfectly interested in him. However Gaston never seemed to fulfill that wish, and was constantly dropping persuasions on why Belle should be happy with him, and marry him. Belle had tried to tell him and his forever trailing friend, that she just simply wasn't interested. They had disappeared for a horse ride out of the village, and Belle was thankful for the piece and quiet. When she arrived at the library, the librarian passed her a book down from the ladder on which he was standing. She opened it to the first page and started reading. As she walked around the village with her book, she sang about it, as she listened to the sing song voices, that called her peculiar, mysterious, and odd. She really wondered if she was odd.
Meanwhile, Miles from the village, Gaston and Le fou, stood atop horses staring over at the village. The grassy mountain like hill was the perfect way to see the village in its entirety, and even though Gaston was pretty happy with his life, there was one huge thing missing. "I don't see why Belle just can't love me. Every time I try to get her to marry me, she flinches, and tells me she simply isn't interested." Gaston couldn't understand, why the towns beauty, just couldn't love him. "Maybe she's not good enough for you Gaston, I mean you do deserve the best!" Le Fou implied. " Good point Le fou, but she's so gorgeous, I can't get enough of her, but then again, who is as good as me?" Gaston was very proud to be himself, however he knew that Belle couldn't stand him, and he wanted her to love him. Everything to do with Belle was just so...... Dazzling, that Gaston could barely contain himself. As they walked into the village, three black haired girls in pink dresses swooned over him. "Eww, who would even consider marrying them?" Gaston whispered to Le Fou, who nodded in agreement. Gaston a horse kicked up mud at the three girls, and Le Fou told all three of them "It's not going to happen" meaning Gaston would never stoop so low as to swoon over common girls like that. Belle was so hard to read, and that was what Gaston loved about her, he could never guess what she was thinking. Just as soon as Gaston caught view of Belle singing as she bounced through the village with a book in her hand. He raced after her, trying to get through the crowd that was surrounding her, and grabbed some flowers from a flower stand, and raced towards her once again, knowing he had to look presentable.
Belle sang and skipped through the crowd, listening to their songs about how mysterious she was. Every happy thing in Belle at that moment drained, almost as soon as she caught view of Gaston, Pushing through the crowd trying to reach her. He had a bunch of flowers in his hand. She knew what was coming next. As soon as Gaston reached her, she knew he was going to propose yet again. Her answer was the same, Gaston, I simply cannot marry you, but Belle was sure that when he reached her, he would not give up so easily this time. Finally, the crowd parted, and Belle, stranded alone with horrible and stubborn Gaston, sighed with frustration about having to struggle to get Gaston off her trail. "Belle, I need to ask you something!" Gaston called from the crowd. All of a sudden the crowd seemed to disperse off to their usual business. " Gaston, I'm a little busy, I mean, I have to get home to see to my father and my diner." Belle improvised.
"Well" Gaston protested stubbornly " You need to wait, because... Err... This is important. Please wait." Belle sighed.
"Gaston, I know we wouldn't be happy together, that's why I don't want to marry you. It doesn't matter what you say to change my mind. My answer is the same, I will not marry you, I'm sorry if that's hard to believe, but I don't love you, and I simply never will. So please leave me to make my father and my diner." Belle had just about gone inside her fathers workshop, when Gaston cornered her into a fenced garden. "I know you're unsure of us. I know you are afraid. But I'm not, and that's all that matters. Every time I look at you, Belle, I'm nearly drowned In an overcoming sense of love. Because I love you, I always will, and I know you're scared to face the world but we can face it together. That can only happen if you let us happen, and I know we'll be happy. You like books and I like hunting. We both care about our looks, we're both mysterious. Please, we have a lot of similarities, and there are a lot of reasons were perfect for each other. So what do you say, Belle of my world? Will you take these flowers and marry me? Will you marry me Belle? Please?" Gaston poured all his heart into that speech, but it still wasn't good enough for Belle. "That's nice of you Gaston, but Books and hunting are not alike, you care about your looks, and well, I don't." Belle started to walk backwards out of the fenced garden, and up the pathway to the small French house lined with flowers, that she called home, and as she walked up the steps, she finished the conversation by saying, " I'm sorry Gaston, but I Will not marry you, I'm sorry but we wouldn't be happy, and that's that." With that, Belle slammed her front door closed in his face.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
