Forest - AfternoonPercy
I ran away from the hunters of Artemis. They said who was my father? Kronos? My mom never told me any stories about Kronos.. My mom always said that my father disappeared one day and didn't come back. I was pretty upset when I heard about that, but I can't worry about that now. I got a bunch of angry man-hating hunters on my tails, willing to shoot me with arrows.
I kept running, trying to think of an escape plan. I didn't know what to do.
Should I climb a tree? Nah, they would probably shoot me down.
Should I try to run into a cave? Nah, probably a dead end.
Should I try to throw one of the cookies in my pockets at them? Yes. Seems like a good idea.
I took out one of my blue cookies with chocolate chips melting on it, and threw it at the hunters. Unfortunately... It.. kind of.. hit Artemis in the face.
Oh gods she looked scary. She had an angry expression and her silver eyes were like they were staring into my very soul. It sent chills down my spine. She had cookie crumbs in her hair and the chocolate chips were smeared all over her face. She looked like she was going to scream and yell.
Yep, I was right. She then screamed and yelled. "YOU STUPID MALE! I WILL LITERALLY KILLYOU IF THEY ALLOW ME TO!" She grabbed an arrow, put it in position on her bow and shot it at me.
I didn't have time to move. The silver arrow flew into my shoulder. When the arrow collided with my shoulder it felt like a doctor giving you a shot only x10 more painful. Did I tell you that I hate shots?
I quickly turned around and started running again. The arrow in my shoulder burned with pain. But I ignored it and continued running.
I was too slow at turning around. A hunter was readying an arrow and shot me in the foot. Another hunter shot me in the other shoulder.
Right when i started running, I felt a net get thrown over me and I couldn't run anymore.
I tried clawing at the net, kicking, but it didn't work. Then I soon realized that this net was made out of some metal.. That was when I heard the cheering behind me..
"Good Job Hephaestus! Took you long enough to find him. Of course my hunters and I would find him first before anyone else." Artemis said with a smile, so full of herself.
The guy, named Hephaestus, just sighed. "Artemis, tell me, who was the one who captured him in the first place? Your arrows wouldn't slow him down but my celestial bronze net did." he asked.
Artemis' smile slowly went away and formed a scowl. "Don't even talk about it." she snapped.
She then walked over to me and I looked up at her in fear. Oh gods she looks angry. Maybe throwing that cookie was a bad idea... Too late now..
"Now you boy, will come to Olympus with us. The gods will decide if you get to live or not or if you get to do something else." she sneered.
She then grabbed my shoulder and and I saw her start to glow. I closed my eyes and when I opened my eyes I found myself in front of 14 people. I then realized that I was in front of the olympian council.
My eyes widened.
The one on towards the middle, I'm guessing that's Zeus, started talking. "Thank you for bringing the boy here Artemis and Hephaestus. and.. Artemis?" he asked.
"Yes father?" she asked politely. Yeah right!
"Why do you have.. chocolate and cookie crumbs on your face?" he asked.
Artemis glared at my direction. "That boy threw one of his cookies at my face and the chocolate chips were melting on it!" she scowled.
I took that opportunity to take another cookie out of my pocket and throw it at her face again.
It hit Artemis on the face spot on. Boy did she look shock.
She stomped over to me and I flinched a bit.
"Boy, do you know who you're messing with? If you throw another cookie at my face I swear, I wil--" she didn't get to finish her sentence because I threw another cookie at her face. Unfortunately it only snapped in half instead of combusting into little crumbs.
"Aw. it only snapped in half. That was my last cookie too. It would've been nice if it combusted into little tiny pieces and let it be all over your face and hair." I said while smirking. The gods, I think Apollo and Hermes burst out laughing at Artemis' reaction.
Her silver eyes were flashing dangerously. Her grip on her bow got tighter. She was trembling in rage. Gods did she look scary. She slowly turned to Apollo and Hermes direction and they immediately stopped laughing.
Artemis then turned back to me and started talking. "Boy, how many times do I have to tell you. I do not play games. I do not like people who cut me off in sentences. Most of all, I. DO. NOT. LIKE. MALES. AT. ALL!" she screamed. Her voice was trembling, she was so scary. I cowered under her voice and glare. "Much better" she said.
I sighed quietly.
"Can you please tell me why I'm here?" I ask.
Zeus took that chance to speak again. "A smart six year old you are aren't you? Well. I thought Artemis would tell you. You are here because you are a Son of Kronos and cannot be here. You will be dangerous in the future so we have to do something about you."
"Like kill me? Chain me up?" I ask.
"Yes." said Zeus.
Fear shot through me like a wildfire. Then I realized something.
"But aren't you a Son of Kronos?" I ask, my voice trembling a bit with fear.
"Ah, excellent question. Kronos is my father. But he tried to eat me when I was just born! But my mother Rhea, gave him a rock to eat instead! So later I sliced him up into a million pieces and cast his soul into the deepest depths of Tartarus. But he didn't try eating you, now did he? He didn't try killing you. He must have something special for you if you survived this long." Zeus said while lifting his master bolt. "Now I believe you will have to be destroyed so his plans won't work." He then pointed his master bolt at me.
Panic and dread filled my body. My eyes started to fill with tears. I closed my eyes and waited for the strike to come. It never came.
I slowly opened my eyes and they widened in surprise.
A bolt of lightning was frozen in the air two feet away from me.
"How-- What?" Zeus said in confusion. All the other gods looked confused as well.
"You will not hurt him." said a voice. It sounded like it was from the shadows. The darkest shadows there is of course. The voice was extremely calm and deadly.
"Who are you?!" Zeus yelled.
"You should know very well who i am." said the voice.
Zeus' eyes widened.
"I am..."
