Camp Half-blood - Big house

Percy

I had already just entered the big house and Chiron wants to discuss questions with me right away. Well then, Hopefully he didn't figure out I'm his brother and that I need to figure out their plans so I could tell father. Then we would be able to plan a plan that'll be good to go against theirs.

"So," I started. "What do you want to talk about with me?"

"Just a few questions." Chiron replied.

"Alright." I say, nodding my head.

"Do you know who your godly parent is?" he asked.

I shake my head. "No, I don't know who my godly parent is." I say, telling the honest truth. 'Hah! My parent isn't a god, He's more like a titan.' I thought.

"Do you think you know who your godly parent is?"

"No."

He continued asking a bunch of questions. I either replied with a yes or a no. Until he came to this one question.

"How did you defeat all those monsters before you entered camp? I haven't seen anyone that good before they enter camp. Usually they train here and get ready for any monsters attacks, but you defeated a bunch of dracanae, hellhounds and a hydra, almost all by yourself. How did you do it?"

"Uh.." I started. He had me stump on this question. I honestly didn't know how to answer this question. What am i suppose to say? I can't just say, "Oh I was trained in Tartarus, no biggie."

"Ever since I was seven years old, I've been training after my mother and I were attacked by this giant hound, with coal black fur mixed with the color of magma. It attacked the house when my mom was handing me cookies.. She didn't make it out alive." I say sadly, still remembering the day.

"I see.. I'm sorry about your mother, but Where did you get the sword from?" he asks.

I pulled riptide out in pen form. "I honestly don't remember." I lied. I remember the day as clear as anything.

***FLASHBACK***

I was walking around a forest. I had a small notepad in my pocket. I kept it in there so I could write or draw anything that I think was important.

I searched my jacket and jean pockets for any pens and found one.

It was a pen my mom gave me before she.. left.

On the side of the pen it read anaklusmos. I quickly translated it from ancient greek to english.

"Riptide."

I uncapped the pen, but instead of it being a normal pen, it turned into a bronze sword. I thought that someone somehow took my pen and replaced it with a sword, but then I saw the word 'Anaklusmos' on the hilt. And then I knew it was mine.

***FLASHBACK END***

"Perseus?" came the worried voice of Chiron.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"You dozed off for a few minutes." he explained.

"Yeah.. Sorry about that, trying to remember when I got this sword." I lied again.

"Did you remember when?" he asked.

A feeling of dread and when I lost my mother washed over me.

Chiron must of noticed because he said, "You don't have to tell if it brings back bad memories."

I nod my head slowly, images of my mother dying in front of my eyes, flashing through my head.

"You will be staying at cabin 11, which is where the Hermes and unclaimed demigods go to stay." Chiron explained. "Since you're unclaimed, you will be staying there until you get claimed."

I nod my head again before exiting the room. walking to cabin 11.

On my way to cabin 11, I thought about how insolent and proud the demigods are. They haven't shown any sign of being rude or weak yet.

Once I arrived at the cabin, I wasn't exactly sure if It was a cabin or not. Why you ask?

The picture on front of the cabin, Hermes' symbol of power, a Caduceus, was basically fading away. You could barely see the picture. The front steps to the cabin creek, the walls outside were all beat up, Let's just say it wasn't a very pleasant sight.

I opened the door to the cabin and see tons of demigods. Hermes and Unclaimed. There were way too much kids. Kids had sleeping bags on the floor, it was pretty crowded. I felt bad for these demigods. And the gods don't even do anything about it! they could just use their powers and expand the place, or even make a cabin for the unclaimed demigods to wait until their godly parent claims them.

I was brought out of my thoughts by a guy who looked like a surfer, with sandy blond hair and sky blue eyes.

"Hey kid, NAME'S Luke Castellan. The Hermes cabin counselor. You new here? I'm guessing you are since you just entered the cabin." Luke said, introducing himself.

"My name's Perseus Jackson, But I like being called Percy, and.. yes. I'm new here. I'm an unclaimed demigod." I said, introducing myself this time, but telling a lie at the end. Me? a demigod? Pfft, in their dreams.

Luke grinned. "I guess I have to introduce you to everyone then." he said as he turned to face his cabin mates. "HEY GUYS! NEW DEMIGOD!" he yelled.

Everyone's head turned almost instantly.

"Determined or Undetermined?" asked a guy.

"Undetermined." Luke answered.

Some people groaned while others looked at me with pity.

I didn't need their sympathy. I've been through a lot that I never wanted to go through. It's like the fates have planned this to happen in my life the whole time. The fates are cruel.

Luke showed me where I would stay in the cabin, he gave me a sleeping bag and bag of tolietries. He apologized to me that I had to have small space but it was all they had so far.

As I laid in my sleeping bag that Night, I thought about how insolent the demigods were, some of them were kind of ok and the rest, They were just pathetic and rude. A new demigod enters the cabin, turns out they aren't determined. They whine and don't even try being nice to the new kid. Luke is pretty nice. He seems like a good guy. And that daughter of Athena.. boy was she annoying. Trying to get into everyone's busy. Just like her mother's fatal flaw. Hubris. Thinking that they can do everything better than anyone else. I couldn't stand them.

I shut my eyes to sleep, at least one demigod can learn to be kind and respectful.
