"Kiss me or Kill me. You can't have both."
PRESENT DAYSomewhere along the way, I found the strength to continue the night. This would be our last encounter. Before the sun came up, I would be miles away. I could not spend time trying to think and pretend that somewhere within his dark heart was any affection. I could never deny the way he held her hand on stage, the deep words he spoke; it was more than just a show for me. It was all so clear now.
I walked back to the party, one last time. I was stubborn after our encounter. I needed to prove to him that I would forget. There was only one way I knew how to forget. I searched for more alcohol to clog my senses and the presence of a man. I headed straight to the bar, searching for the lonely bartender. The party was almost over and I wouldn't have long to enjoy myself. I would be gone soon. I had to go with a bang. I didn't have much time. The rage had awoken the devil.
"You're back? I thought you left." He remarked.
"I was waiting for you." I spoke seductively, making my way closer to the bar.
"What?" He spoke, confused.
He was just a regular man in a crowd of important people. He had nothing to offer me, compared to the tycoons scattered around the ballroom. Yet, he had been the man to entice me.
"We can't have a conversation if you're sober." I pouted.
"I'm working. I can't drink." He laughed awkwardly.
"Where's the fun in that? Life is too short to deny the simple pleasures." I challenged him.
"Fine." He smiled "One drink..."
We were a couple drinks down and I was amazed about his ability to make me forget. He told me about the small town he had grown up in. Our conversation was light and simple. Unlike anything I had experienced with Harry.
I could feel eyes burning behind my back.
I knew someone was watching.
I spent about twenty minutes and it was as if I knew him my whole life. I laughed a couple times at his corky ways. In contrast with the devil I knew, he could bring me happiness. I attempted to sneak him away from the bar for a dance, but with no luck. He had warmed up to me after all the drinks and waited for the night to be over so we could escape.
I held my breath as he asked me, "May I kiss you?"
I smiled. This was something completely different than I had ever experienced. Maybe I had learned an important lesson with Harry. Sometimes what you need is not a match. "Yes." I whispered.
His soft lips touched mine, but before I could feel his sweet taste, my body was ripped off from his.
"What the hell?" I yelped as I faced three strong bodyguards.
"You need to come with us." The man spoke up.
I knew exactly what was going on.
The audacity.
"I'm not going anywhere. Tell your boss." I shouted, the rage consuming me.
"I'm sorry, miss." He said, before he swept me into his arms and left the bar.
~
I had suffered for two years, dreaming of the moment I would see him again. Every night I dreamed about him. I had created a magical happy ending. Tonight, I had realized that we would never be one. I had begun to accept the truth. I had begun to forget.
I screamed as the bodyguard threw my body onto the cold floor without a care. I attempted to escape. I demanded they open the door. I screamed. I threw everything at the wall, but it was no use. They closed the door shut and I was in the devil's den.
I screamed. My blood was boiling. I knew exactly who was behind all this.
I needed to plan carefully as to how I would massacre him. The audacity that he held; he attempted to ruin my night, twice. He was capable of parading around with her and break every inch of my heart. He could never let go. In his eyes, I had to pay every bit of the two years I had stolen from him.
"You enjoy whoring around?" His husky voice silenced my screams as he came out from the shadows.
"Harry." I hissed, venom dripping from my mouth.
We were once again, alone in a room. The devil and his match.
The deadly war had just begun.
Both of us fuming rage, awaiting the fire.
My eyes darkened, glaring into his livid red eyes; our body inches apart and the tension of one whole week had reached its turning point. "Were you watching me? Having your men trail me around? The audacity you have!" I growled.
His voice heightened. "I had been planning this event for more than a year. I have worked hard to make sure everything went perfect. This is a charity event. This is for Kate. This is her night." The anger devouring his mind, "You had to walk in and ruin it all. You had to take away the attention from the event and slut around."
"Is that what this is about?" I laughed bitterly.
"What else would this be about?" He spit the cold lie.
He was closer than before. His scent tore through me, holding me captive. My senses were heightened by his presence. His hot breath inches away from my pleading body. I watched as his hand shook violently at his side. His eyes burning into mine, the anger never matched our passion. My heart belonged to the beast. Nothing could ever change that fact.
The anger subsided and I lowered my tone. "What you said today, is it true? Do you love her?"
I begged for the truth. My heart had been broken more than a few times, but I could never lose hope. My love for him would never die. The way my heart pounded when he was next to me or the fact that I could barely breathe; I hoped he felt it too. I hoped, somewhere deep within him, he would forgive me.
"Yes." He whispered, "I meant every word of it."
I closed my eyes, trying to hold the whelping tears which began to fall. I tried to catch my breath. It was too late. The world came crashing down and the pain devoured me alive. When my eyes reopened, they met his eyes and I ran to him. My hands quickly grasped his cheek. "Do you remember that day under the bridge? How perfect we were? I was the happiest girl in the world when you got down on one knee and you asked my hand in marriage. You promised me this was forever, that our love would never die." I was no longer in control. The tears had fallen. I had thrown my body at his and my hands firmly pressed into his cheeks. "Please, Harry. I know somewhere deep inside, you haven't forgotten." I begged.
His eyes turned the beautiful emerald green; the eyes I had fallen in love with at first sight. He let his guard down and the mask of hatred fell. He hurtfully questioned me, "So why did you walk out? Why did you leave it all behind?"
I couldn't answer him.
I had no choice.
I carried a burden, a secret.
The moment the secret found light, I would be dead.
I begged with my body pressed onto his, "I'm here, Harry. I've been here. I let you break me to the core every second. Ever since I walked back into this city for you, I have endured never ending pain. For God's sake, you left me to die, stranded in the middle of nowhere. Look me in the eye." I shouted, losing control. "Harry. I'm giving up on us. Tell me what you want."
He remained still in time, unaffected by my tears and screams.
I repeated, begging for the torture to end. "Tell me!"
He was quick to pull my body away from his, the hatred and the pain of two years coming to life. "What do you think, Lana? You think everything you did is just going to disappear? You are here now, but I suffered for two years." His eyes bore into mine and he whispered his final words, "I want you to go, Lana."
I took a deep breath, mustering up my last bit of courage. "Okay." I whispered. I found strength, like I always do. After the battles I had fought and the blood that had been poured, I found strength to mask the stabbing pain I felt. I held my head high and snarled the words into his ears. "I will forget you, Harry." I flipped the switch fast and put on a confident grin. "Now if you would excuse me, I've had enough of all this. I'm going to find a man to bury myself under."
I began to walk away to the door but he was faster. I was spun around to the wall with a surprising force. My back collided into the cold wall and his body pressed into mine once more. I barely had any space, his furious eyes battling mine. "Let me go now!" I demanded.
The words maddened him.
"You're going nowhere!" He spoke sternly.
"Stop it! Harry, stop this game. Kiss me or Kill me. You can't have both." I yelped.
"You're such a fucking whore." He hissed.
Jealousy possessed him. He couldn't let go of the woman he loved. He tried, but he would never be okay with me in the arms of another. But I was done playing this game. I gathered the strength to brush him away and the anger in my chest rose. I was quick, as my hands harshly smacked his face and the devil lost control.
He fumed with rage. He could barely breathe and his eyes turned darker than ever before. He spoke harshly. "Get down, Lana!"
I lowered my eyes, defying him. "Since when do I ever listen to you? Go bark your orders to Kate."
His hand lowered into his pockets and I watched as he picked up the black handgun. I gulped as he approached me; the predator and his prey. "Get on your fucking knees. I won't say it twice." He hissed.
I knew the rage within him was deadly. I quickly lowered myself to the ground, praying and not knowing how this would end. I closed my eyes and held my breath, preparing for the worst. He had made his choice. I heard his footsteps. I felt the cold handgun pressed onto my forehead and I unexpectedly heard a zipper.
I couldn't bear to watch. I just waited for the end.
"Open your eyes." He demanded and I obeyed.
My eyelids fluttered open to meet his hard length inches away from my mouth. I gulped as I haven't seen it in years. Everything about this moment was overwhelming and unexpected. I felt my panties begin to soak as we were alone in the room; a gun pointed to my head and his dick inches away from my pleading mouth.
"You're mine, Lana Edwards." He whispered his last words before he thrust his length into my mouth.
The lust, rage, and the passion came alive as I instinctively absorbed every inch of him into my mouth. He let out a grunt and stood still. I desperately attached my hands onto him and my mouth took in all of him. The rage lingered within my bloodstream as I hastily thrust him into my mouth. This was a battle of control as the cold handgun pressed onto my forehead. His grunts were my trigger and I couldn't stop. I began a deadly rhythm as my tongue explored him and the thrusts gained momentum. I heard the gun drop to the floor and his hands buried themselves into my hair. One last thrust and he came undone in my mouth and I swallowed.
I took advantage of his moment of weakness to grab the gun on the floor. I slowly rose from my knees to meet his lustful, dark eyes and we stood in silence. I raised the gun to his hard chest and his eyes never left mine.
"You can't be good for her, because you are bad...for me."
He remained silent and I whispered my final words. "I'll be waiting for you on the bridge at midnight. This will be my final attempt before I disappear from your life."~
A/N: First off, has anybody heard Harry new song. OMGG! I love it so much on repeat as I wrote this chapter. Please don't judge my awful attempt at smut; I tried. Maybe later on, I'll get better and be able to fix this chapter.
