I grabbed my Chemistry textbook from my locker, before glancing at Natalia, my best friend, "I'm ready, let's go," I muttered irritably.

Natalia smirked and shook her head back and forth, a smug smile on her face.

"What," I snapped irritably.

She shook her head, a slight grin appearing on her lips .

"If you don't tell me, than I'm going to slap you," I snapped, slightly miffed.

She smirked once again, her blue-gray eyes twinkling, '"Why so occupied? A certain sexy junior in your thoughts?" she asked me slyly, impatiently waiting for my response.

I muttered something incomprehensible under my breath, before throwing her a fierce glare which didn't seem to faze her. It had been a few days after Zack had came to my house, asking for tutoring, and Lanie, Christina's best friend, told everyone. Unfortunately, due to their hormonal teenage minds, everyone, which including my friends, seemed to blow it all out of proportion, much to my irritation.

"Actually, I was worried about the Chemistry exam that we have today," I responded nonchalantly, inwardly smirking at her panicked expression. Chemistry was Natalia's worst subject, and it didn't seem to help that it was coincidentally my best. "Oh yes," I continued, grinning at her panicked expression, "Mr. Dodson said it was going to be the hardest test he's given this year. It's also 60% of our final grade for the semester."

She grabbed the book from my hands before flipping through the pages furiously, "I'm going to fail!" she moaned sadly.

"Would I be a terrible best friend if I said I was just kidding?" I asked slyly, twirling a strand of my hair between my fingers.

She responded with an angry growl, "I'll get you for that Forrest," she said, scowling darkly.

Suddenly, she smiled, a devious expression on her heart-shaped face, "Since we don't have a test today, your going to have to tell me all the details about you and sexymexy back," she said, throwing me a knowing glance.

Before I could respond, a masculine voice broke me out of my thoughts. "I always knew I was sexy."

I turned around and rolled my eyes at the speaker, who I recognized as the subject of our conversation. "Yeah Zack. Your so sexy you make me faint," I deadpanned, before frowning, "You ALWAYS come up at the right times, don't you?" I asked, staring at him disapprovingly.

"What can I say? I have a gift," he responded cheekily. After a few days of tutoring, we figured out that we had the same sense of humor, so we teased each other quite often.

Natalia coughed loudly, before giving me a sharp nudge in the chest.

"Oh yeah!" I responded, remembering that Natalia and Zack didn't know each other. "Nat," I said, pointing towards Natalia, "Meet Zack. Who is also called loser." I said, smiling sweetly.

Zack chuckled before grinning at Natalia appreciatively, "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again."

My lips quivered.

Natalia rolled her eyes, "Keep walking. But I like the way that you think," she said, although her cheeks told otherwise.

Zack shrugged lightly, not at all stung at her rejection, "Worth a try, though."

I rolled my eyes, "No girl in right mind would go out with you," I teased. We both knew that this was definately not true. Zack was probably one of the most desirable boys in the school, and it didn't do much but add to his ego.

He threw an arm around my shoulder, "That's because your the only girl for me," he said, treating me to a sloppy kiss on my cheek.

Before I could respond, Natalia's voice broke into the conversation,"I hate to break up this little love-fest, but Kat and I have to go Chemistry, which is a class that we don't have a test in," she said, throwing me a glare.

I gave her an innocent response, "Who me?"

Zack glanced at us warily, "Should I even ask?"

I shook my head, before turning towards him, "We're still on for tutoring tonight, right?" I asked, getting straight to buisness.

His eyes brightened before he grinned, "Of course! I got a 89 on the Trig test the other day. Mr. Davids told me that I got 8th in the class," he answered proudly.

I beamed, glad that my abysmal tutoring skills seemed to pay off.

He smiled, "Well, bye ladies. I need to go to History right now, so I'll see you later," he said cheerfully, before turning around to run in the corriders, "I'll see you tonight!" he shouted over his shoulder.

Once Zack had safely left the hallway, Natalia turned to me, a slightly crazed gleam in her eyes, "Man! That boy is fineee!" she said, dragging out the e.

I shrugged, "He's just a regular boy, and he's not my type."

Natalia sighed dramatically, "Right. Your type. Tall, dark and mysterious. How didn't I know?" she responded sarcastically, referring to my past boyfriends who had always seemed to fit in the same category.

She shook her head sadly, before glancing at me seriously, "If you don't date him, then I will," she responded.

I rolled my eyes, unfazed, "Go ahead."

She recoiled back, not expecting that answer. "Alright then." she said, before glancing at me in the corner of her eyes, "I call dibs!"

I shrugged, "Can I be maid-of-honor at your wedding?"

She pouted sadly, "You're no fun!"

I raised an eyebrow, "Yes. Because having no fun is exactly what I am," I said sarcastically.

Natalia grumbled, "Why do you always have to be right?"

I shook my head we walked into the Chemistry classroom. In bright, gleaming letters the words SURPRISE TEST were written on the whiteboard.

Natalia shot me a disapproving frown, before she mouthed the words, "I'll get you for this."

My only response was an amused smirk.
