Dragons.

You adored them as a child. Never in your wildest dream did you think you were actually a dragon.

As a very unique mutant, you drew more attention to yourself than you would've liked. It was easy to tell you were different, you had fiery red eyes that held nothing back. Not the "I wanna end mankind eyes", more like "I got really red eyes", eyes. Though, sadly, most people didn't know that. And as a result of many people's fear, you were an outcast, even amongst your fellow mutants.

It did bother you, of course. You were an orphan as a child. The moment you turned 18, you were gone and on your own path of life. A few years passed and you found a new paths. Which is currently a path to a school. Never thought you'd even dare to go back to one, but this was supposedly different. A school of mutants.

You find yourself finally flying over the new school you heard about. Many people boasted that they knew such great mutants. You obviously thought it was gibberish, but had to check it out. As they say, curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

You obviously flew incognito. You had the ability to become invisible. Only in dragon form though, which kinda bummed you out. You fly close to the ground and quickly transform into a human. You roll and pop up on your feet. Dusting off dirt from your clothes, you take in your surroundings.

"Bollocks." You mutter under your breath. You had landed about a mile away from the actual school, dragon sight was quite tricky.

Sighing and shoving your hands into your jean pockets, you walk towards the large and oddly mansion like school.

You arrive at the gates and push them open. Much to your dismay, they make a loud creak and suddenly, all eyes are on you. Again. You got used to it sure, but it never ceased to annoy you.

A man jogs up to you with furrowed eyebrows and stares at you quizzically.

"Who are you?" He asks while looking you over.

"I'm Y/N ... I've heard of this place. It's supposed to be for mutants?" you reply while analyzing him yourself. He was huge.

"Oh, well you've come to the right place. I'm Logan." He says as he sticks out his hand.

You nod and smile lightly. You shake his hand firmly and look up at him.

"Well, Logan. How do I sign up?"

"You are first going to need to speak with Professor X." he says in a bored tone while walking towards the school.

You furrow your eye brows and quickly catch up. "Who's that?" You ask as you try to match his long strides.

"He's kind of like the big boss around here. C'mon, we're almost there."

You two enter through big double doors. He walks in and a few people greet him while others avoid your gaze. Your eyes. How has Logan not noticed them or .. said anything about it?

Shrugging it off as a small victory, you soon are led to a modest office and there behind a desk is an impossibly attractive man.

He smiles at you warmly and you hear the door close behind you. You turn around sharply and notice that Logan has gone. Biting the inside of your lip, you turn to face Professor X and chuckle nervously.

"Hi I'm-"

"Y/N. Yes, I know. I'm Charles Xavier, please, take a seat." He says kindly.

You nod. How did he know your name? Probably was telepathically informed by Logan or something.

"May I say, what beautiful eyes you have Y/N." he says in awe. He looks, what it seems like, straight into your soul.

"O-oh, uh, thank you." You blush lightly and your hand instinctively reaches up and gently touches the skin below your eyes. "No one has ever told me that before."

Charles smiles warmly and nods.

"Well, to my understanding, you want to join my school?" He asks, even though he knew the answer already.

"No, not exactly. I just wanna check it out, you know? I don't plan on staying long." You reply with a shrug. Sure, it seemed like a cool place, but looks can be deceiving.

"Of course, I'll have Storm show you to your new room. I do hope you decide to stay." Charles says with a smile.

You nod and stand up. Suddenly the door opens and a woman with white hair and beautiful features walks in.

"Hello, my name is Storm." She says while leading you out of the room.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Y/N." you reply kindly. You were glad you were able to introduce yourself without being interrupted.

"I love your eyes, very unique." She says with a small grin. Let me show you to your room."

You smile on the inside and nod. She liked your eyes. Second one today, not a bad start.

You both approach a rather large door and Storm pushes it open revealing a beautiful but modest room. Your eyes widen in surprise and you grin.

"It's beautiful." You mumble to yourself.

Storm laughs lightly and nods. "Well, it's all yours. I'll leave you to it."

You nod absentmindedly and she leaves without a sound. After a few hours of settling in, you decided that you wanted to explore.

Before you are able to even take five steps out, the Professor comes your way.

"Y/N, glad I ran into you. I was wondering if you wanted a tour of this ol' place." He asks.

"Oh, I don't want to be any trouble-" you start

"Nonsense! It would be my pleasure to be your tour guide of sorts." He insists.

You look at him and nod hesitantly.

"Ok, thank you."

He smiles brightly and starts wheeling away from you.

"Well come on then, we don't have all day." He says slightly loudly, as he was gaining some distance.

You grin and shake your head while you run to catch up.

Maybe this might be fun.
