The Bad-Boys Roommate

Conflict and Competition

"Are you kidding me?! You're pissed at me for that" I yell at him, unable to control my anger any more.

"Yes i'm pissed, i told you about my dad and brother" He raises his voice even more and normally i would be scared of the enraged tone in his voice but not right now in the mood i am in.

"you only told me because they came into my apartment with a fucking gun, Jaden!" He goes to open his mouth but then closes it again when he realizes that there is nothing he can say to back himself now. He quickly turns his back on me and strops out of the changing room but just before he leaves i hear him mutter under his breath: "I just thought we were closer than that".

Guilt floods inside of me.

We haven't lived with each other for too long now but it feels like ive known him for years. He did tell me more than he probably had to about his family but I didn't want him to know about my parents. I don't want him to see me as the reason my parents drug themselves up, which according to Gemma everyone else does. I don't want to be that person anymore. And to be honest out of everyone i though he'd understand that.

I consider missing training and going back home but then i remember the first game of the season, that Jay was telling me about last week. I decide im just going to ignore him until i sort my head out and decide what i want to tell him. I walk out onto the pitch on my own, as normal, and the whole teams heads sway towards my direction, god they need to get a few more girls on this team.

I spot Tyler standing near a guy called Otto, who I hadn't spoken to much but he's quite fit and as far as i know he's our age. I ignore the glare im receiving from Jaden and cuddle into Ty and he puts his arm around my waist casually. This isn't weird behavior for us but because of the current dispute we are in, Jaden seems to roll his eyes at the sight. I move away from Tyler slightly, not wanting to upset Jaden any more but he obviously didn't realize we were in an argument because he pulls me in tighter and starts laughing.

After fitness we decide to play a small seven a side game so Jaden starts to choose the teams. Every other week I have been put with Jay so we can play upfront together but of course i wasn't surprised when he says: "Isabella go on Otto's team". I scoff at his pathetic attempt at getting on my nerves and walk over to the bag of blue bibs with Otto.

"I've been thinking its time for a change in teams for a while now," Otto says making small talk as the rest of the teams are chosen.

"Why's that?"

"Cause I've had enough of you tackling me and making me look like a complete knob" We both start laughing but I also smile to myself, knowing that finally someone realizes that i am not half bad at this. We continue chatting until everyone else is ready and I find that as well as taking me off his team, hes put Ace, Tyler and Cole back onto it- real mature Jaden.

The game begins slowly with a few of the lads laughing and casually passing the ball around, while im struggling to remember that  this is just a bit of fun. I'm passed the ball and before i know it im pushed off of the ball and onto the ground. I don't even need to look up to know who it is, i hear low "oohs" from around the pitch but i just get up without raising my head; i guess i said i wanted to be treated like one of them.

It continues with no goals and the others seem to realize from me and Jay both playing in try hard mode that this wasn't such a friendly match. Otto tackles Ty and wins the ball back in their half of the pitch so i take my chance to run down the field while the opposition try and make it back to their positions. Cole starts marking me as Otto crosses the ball in my direction, i quickly run around him and with one touch of the ball, volley it into the back of the net. I hear groans and a cheer from Otto as i stand up and start running towards him celebrating. I didn't get a chance to see Jaden's face but i can just imagine the frustration he must be feeling.

The game soon ended, the score staying at 1-0. As we head into the changing rooms, Jaden finally breaks the silence between us and offers me a lift home but i decline saying that ive got a few errands to run but in fact i just want to stay at Sophie's for the night until he calms down. He looks at me unsure but doesn't protest so i go and get changed.

"So what exactly are you two arguing about?" Sophie asks me, obviously confused at the vague story ive told her to why i dont want to stay at home. She keeps her eyes on the road so thankfully she cant see me panic and try and think of a reason.

"He's making me sleep on the sofa again," I lie and she starts laughing hysterically.

"You two are like an old married couple,"

She pulls up outside the apartment block after picking me up from the bus stop because just typically the bus didn't show. I tell her i will only be a minute as all i need to get is my phone, toothbrush and change of clothes so i run out of the car still in my kit. I wedge the door open, hoping to avoid Jaden but instead the complete opposite happens and im met with Jaden lying on the sofa with some girl straddling him.

"whoa, sorry" i back up out of the room in complete shock. I mean i shouldn't be surprised because why shouldn't he  be able to hook up with girls in his own apartment but i couldn't help but be jealous. I hear Jay huff and then come towards the door and open it. We look each other straight in the eye and for the first time since ive met him, i couldn't tell what he was thinking. His eyes were full of what seemed to be regret but it also could be guilt, im not sure.

We continued to stare at each other for what felt like forever until the door is swung even further open and i become face to face with someone i never expected to be there. Kirsty fucking Crystal.

Yay I've finally updated again!! I will try and update more often cause I love writing this story but I don't want to publish it if I'm not proud of it, you get me?
Anyways I have exams coming up in jan but I will still try my bestest to update!! Thanks for all the support I have been getting recently and I hope u enjoy this!
