Serenity's pov

I woke up earlier than Tessa, so I decided to make her breakfast and buy her a nice goodbye gift.

I got ready after taking a quick shower and lazily did my hair. Then I stormed out of the house before Tess noticed.

I reached the mall after a few minutes of walking and I entered a couple shops, buying a lot of giant teddy bears and cute house furnitures for Tess since I know she loves those stuff.

I also bought a simple note card to write on. Hopefully, she reads it and I don't just waste my money and time writing on this thing.

Right before leaving, I pay the cashier and thank her. I get out of the mall and hurriedly walk back to the house.

Thankfully, I reach my house safely and I carefully open the door. I tiptoe my way to the room where she is sleeping, which is the living room, and I decorate the whole room with teddy bears.

I didn't forget to leave the note card in the pocket of her jacket that she is going to wear today. I smiled when I looked back, realizing she's still sleeping peacefully.

I waited till she wakes up by watching some Tv and eating Doritos. Life was going good, if I say so myself.

I heard some shuffling on the couch. When I looked, Tess was slowing waking up and stretching.

Once she saw the teddy bears and the cute furnitures, she looked at me surprised. "You did all of this?"

"Yeah."

"Awe, Tee, thank you!" She hugged me tightly.

"You're welcome."

She didn't move from our position yet, "What time is it, by the way?"

"Uh-" I unlocked my phone, "It's 10 A.M."

"Oh, I need to pack my bags soon, the flight I booked will leave at 2 P.M."

I released her from my embrace, "I can help you pack, if you want?"

"Sure."

"Tess?"

"Yeah?"

I showed her the item in my hands, "What's this?"

Her face turned red, "I-It's thongs."

They quickly fell out of my hands, "Are they used?"

"Y-yes."

"Okay, here's the deal; You pack the undergarments, I pack the outerwear."

Tessa's pov

After Serenity and I packed my suitcase, which weighs like a hundred pounds, we immediately went to the airport.

A few minutes following, we arrived at our destination. It was still 12 P.M. so we had time to spend with each other.

We decided to go shopping for airplane food, since there's not much delicious snacks there, and both of us know how hungry I get.

Then we ate some ice cream and chatted for a while, until we realized that it's 1:57 P.M.

We ran to the gate and thankfully reached it earlier than we thought, it was 1:58 P.M.

For the last two minutes, Tee and I had our last goodbyes. "Answer me whenever I call you, okay?"

"Alright."

We kept looking at each other, smiling sadly like idiots, and nodding like we already know what to do with our friendship.

"Flight to United Kingdom is about to board!" The security shouts.

Serenity hugged me tightly, "Be careful and take care of yourself! I will call you everyday to check up on you."

I laughed, "Okay and I will answer those calls."

She kissed my cheek and let go of my embrace, "Goodbye!" She waved while wiping her tears.

I waved back and blew a kiss in her direction. I shot her one last look before I entered the plane.

Once I got inside, I checked the ticket to know that my seat is number forty-three. I had to go all the way in the back, luckily, it was next to the window though.

A few moments later, it got really cold, to the point where I was shivering. I put my hands in the pockets of my jacket so they wouldn't freeze off, but there was a paper inside.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused as to how it got there, but opened it anyways. The note was handwritten, not going to lie, the handwriting is amazing!

I smiled reading through the note, recognizing it as Serenity's, 'Hey shmoopy, I've got a few things I'd like to say that I never got around to tell you in person. First, you're my one and only best friend and I love you for staying with me through hard and fun times. Second, I wish you the best of luck on getting the job. I hope they see the real you that I've seen, you're hard-working and amazing in general. Third, I will miss you and I'm totally not crying just writing this and thinking of you moving away. -Serenity'

I gave her a quick call after reading her cute message, informing her that I'm on the airplane and that it has boarded.

I hang up the phone, smiling because I heard her voice and it reminded me that she will always be with me.

Looking outside the airplane's window, I thought about how my life would change once I work at the company and live in London.

Hopefully, life won't change too much.

Hopefully.

A/N: Lmao, I keep on saying to myself that I won't update until I have to update which is every Friday(GST time), but I just can't help it.
