I was on the beach with Oceanic. We had the whole day off. I was on the sand and playing with the water. The water was floating around me and Oceanic was swimming in the water that I was controlling. She played and squeaked and I laughed. She looked so cute. Then Dirk came out of nowhere and scared me a bit. I dropped the water and Oceanic on him by accident.
"Sorry."  I apologized.

He smiled at me and took off his shades. I looked in his beautiful....? Did I just think that his eyes are beautiful? You did. Well, I don't think that feeling or thought are important but still those seemed great to look at. He had his beautiful orange eyes and smile. He looked handsome. He was handsome. Well no, he is handsome. Yeah he is. He sat next to me and smiled more and brighter like the sun. He let Oceanic run around us.
"It's okay. Where you you this morning? No dumb stuff anymore?" He asked.

Every morning, I would do something that was dumb. Everyone would say that I was just like Percy, but a little girl version of him. I didn't like that they said that but I just kept a straight face on. Percy would do dumb thing and when it was time to think, he would think and was smart. I was like, maybe we are kinda the same. I do that too and other stuff. He got me started on blue food. But today in the morning I didn't, I was with Conner. We were planning on pranking on Leo.

"I was with Conner." I replied.

"Were you guys planning a prank?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"We switched Leo perfume with a old expired fish juice and pickle juice and some old wet gym socks." I smiled at him.

"CONNER! (Y/N)!" We heard Leo scream.

He came towards us and boy did he smell bad. I kept a straight face and looked at Dirk. He gave me a wink and put his shades on. We turned around to look at Leo. His head was on fire, literally.

"I know you did this!" He shouted.

"What do you mean?" I asked.
He got closer to us and we covered our nose. Conner came and laughed.

"What did you do this time (y/n)?" He laughed.

"Conner you did this too." I glared at him.

"Okay. You both did it! So I will need to kick your ass." Leo glared at both of us. "I was going to be on a date with Calypso! Until she backed away from me. And told me to go away. Now that Percy and Annabeth isn't here to protect you and Conner then I can kick you."

"He-" I was cut off.

"You are not going to kick (y/n) ass. Or Conner." Dirk defended us.

"Dirk stop protecting your girlfriend." Leo smirked. Dirk blushed.

"Dirk isn't my boyfriend and I'm not his! What do you mean the Percy always is protecting me? I can protect myself." I shouted at Leo. In fact I was pretty tired of protecting myself and needed a brake.  I appreciated Percy for being like that but he had no reason to do that. Unless, that is what big brothers do. Is it? I don't. But I just know that Percy is a great person.

"He is a great brother you know. He watches out for you. He hasn't been like that for as long as I knew him. He is really concerned for you and more than Annabeth. He is like afraid that he will lose you at any moment." He said.

"Why are you telling me this? You could of just said that he is watching me." I said.

"But that would mean that he is a stalker." Conner said.

"I am just saying because I am not going to beat you up anymore." He walked away. Conner smiled at me and then at Dirk.

"Well you know that Leo will plan his revenge on us." He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I'm aware." I said and then Conner left.

"Dirk what is a s-" I asked.

"Stalker is a person who watches you and knows like every little detail about you. Like he watches you and spies on you. It could be a girl or boy." He answered.

I looked at him at surprised. He smiled at me.
"I know you." He said. I smiled back at him and then we went back to the beach thingy. We sat down and relaxed. I liked it when Dirk and I were alone. He seemed definitely different than any other boy that I meant. Sure he cursed a lot, but still. I had this feeling that says 'he is comfortable to be around with and funny'.

We were messing around and joking. I was on the beach on the sand and Dirk was next to me. In fact he was so close that I leaned on him for support. He felt like a pillow to me and a cute one. Then I realized that I was on Dirk and half asleep. I got up quickly. The sun was a little half way to setting.

"Well I have to go." I smiled at him.

"No don't go. Stay with me a little longer." His orange eyes sparkled.

"Hm....okay a little longer and then poof! I'm gone." I smiled at him and he just smiled back. My heart felt like melting.

I sat next to him and he pulled me into a hug. I was frozen.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"No. Just enjoying this moment." He said.

"Something is definitely wrong with you but I will let this pass." I said.

"What do you think love is?" He asked.

"Love is like a person who cares about you. Like a father and daughter love. That is what I call love dude. But why do you ask? Have you and your father had love?" I was confused. Love was like how I described. "That is true love. Just a feeling that only family feels and my only family is Iapetus and Percy and you know my father."

"Y-yeah love is kinda like that. And I feel that for my bro and dad." He said.

"Then you find true love with them." I said.

Dirk p.o.v
(Y/n) described love like only family love. She hasn't felt love since her family and she has no idea how much I loved her. I hugged her because I didn't want her to leave yet. I usually did do this crap to a girl. Or anybody. I wanted her to be with me and always. But I could tell that she didn't feel the same way. I wanted to be her friend, even if she didn't love me back or didn't feel the same way. She just seems so perfect and ....I don't know what the fuck to say. She is just perfect for me. She stayed with me and she started to pull away.
  "I'm sleepy." She yawned.

"You look cute." I blurted.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing I just said that you need to get some sleep." I lied.

"Oh. Okay. Well good bye." She picked up Oceanic.

I grabbed her arm and she looked at me with her beautiful sea green eyes.

"Want me to take you back to your cabin?" I asked her and blushed.

"Sure." She gave me a sleepy smile.

We walked in silence to her cabin and we got there. We looked at each other and then she spoke.
"By the way Dirk you look cute too." She smiled and went in her cabin.

I was frozen. She just called me cute! Maybe there is a slight chance of us being together. I went back to my cabin and blushed when I thought about what she said. I couldn't stop smiling. I past Dave in my cabin and went straight to sleep. I finally had a moment with her. No one at camp has ever been close to her except Nico and me.
