The forgotten voice

Chapter 8

The big talent show finally came. Henry and Ruby sat in the third row tho the right side of the school auditorium.

The teachers and staff all came to see the performances only because Mr. Beckenfield, Ms. Rose, and Ms.Menik at the judges and they all wanted to see if they were fair judges or not.

Hannah's parents sat right beside Henry and they were beaming.

They were excited because this was the first year that Hannah decided to do the talent show. It also meant nobody heard her sing before.

Then, the curtains opened in the principal came on stage. He wore a gray suit with a purple tie on.

He held the microphone and then he started to say" Hello everyone! Thank you for all coming to see our annual talent show tonight!

We do have some old performers who won in the previous shows but, we've also got some new faces! I hope you enjoy the show!

First up, Kevin Clark doing his guitar solo. His song is 'crazy kid' hope you enjoy it!"

Then the principal walked off stage while a red-haired boy locked up stage with his guitar.

" So this is the famous Kevin Clark." Hannah thought. He has been Ruby's Crush since the first day of high school but, he never even looked at her. He was really stuck up.

As a boy who played the song, she realize that he was... Good. As soon as he finished the principal walked up again and introduced a girl named Tracy Evans doing a Swan Lake dance number.

Each time a new person came on and I watched and the teachers judged until... It was her turn. She suddenly felt nervous and afraid but as soon as she went onstage it's suddenly vanished Into Thin Air. Then she started.

" where is the land I come from? Who lives where I was born? Why you my memory start with a storm?

What if I have a family, somewhere beyond the sea, could there be someone there missing me? Tell me, why I'm not sleeping and my heart is sleeping inside me, could this be one of those times when your feelings decide?

I need to know these answers! I need to find my way! She's my tomorrow, and learn my yesterday! I need to take these chances. Let all my feelings show! Can't tell what's waiting. Still I need to go... I need to know.

Life is a sea I'm sailing, riding the Winds of time. Looking to find the course that is mine. Striving to find direction, starting to understand and every waves apart of the plan! I'll keep, living and loving and leaving the world right behind me! Hope it's a start that I'll follow wherever I go! I need to know these answers I need to find my way! She's my tomorrow, learn my yesterday! I need to take these chances, let all my feelings show! Can't tell what's waiting, but still I need to go... I need to know."

And then the audience roared In Praise.

Sorry I haven't written in a few months guys! I feel super bad for please forgive me!😭😭😭

I've been having too much difficulties with my teacher she is very biased in the way she grades things and I've been trying to fix stuff up. So far she keeps being biased and so far no one's doing crap. The only one that speaks for us students is my mother at the moment who keeps talking to the system principal even though he doesn't give a damn either. If you guys have this situation please comment below!
