The forgotten voice

Chapter 6

"How long have you guys known?" Hannah tried asking, if she ate her cereal.

"Have known what dear?" Her 'mother' asked.
Then Hannah slid the yellow envelope across the kitchen counter pushing it tho her 'mom'.

When she finished reading she said " The queen is... Alive! And you really did meet Autumn already! I'll let your father know and then we can help..." As she said that she realized she still hadn't explain how she and her husband knew.

So she started by saying " We have been... I guess you could say... Adoptive parents to your family memebers and you. Including your mother.
I think James and I have been doing this for over... I think 1,000 years now? Yeah that's right. And yes they gave us immortality for this job but it doesn't mean that we care for you any less ok? "

" Ok... I ... I understand. " Hannah replied hesitantly.

"  Alright! Now that the situation is taken care of, have you chosen a song to sing at the show yet?" Her mother asked.
" Yes... I did. I an gonna do ' I need to know' by Melissa Jordan." Hannah said .

" That's a good one! It really suits you!" She replied.

" Well I've known it for the longest time, and j thought I could use it. So, when's the show?" Hannah asked.

" It's actually in 2 days! The week went by so fast! You signed up already right?" Her mother replied.

" Yeah I did! I can't wait! " she answered.
Then she looked at the time.
" I better get going before I am late! Bye! " she yelled on her way out the door.
" Bye!" Her mom yelled back.

Hannah walk to the lunch line to get her food when Henry went with her.

He said " Hey Hannah did you sign up for the show already?and by the way my mom cut my hair again... Is it bad?" He asked.

" Yes I signed up already!  I couldn't pass it up. And your mom cut your hair again?" She said looking at his black night hair that brushed on his green cat eyes.

" Actually, she did a really good job this time! Way to go! You look really cool! " she complimented.

" Thanks! I'll tell my mom! Hey, where's Ruby?  She is usually with you." He asked.

" She has a dentist appointment and you know she HATES those! I bet, she is biting the guys pinkie finger off with her fang teeth by now!" She replied as once again they laughed together.
