Chapter 17: Guess Whos Back

The now 21 year old man sits sighing in the loungeroom of his house. Shaking, he drops the phone "no..." he huffs out "n-no!"

"Levi..." his uncle speaks to his nephew over the phone
"It was Erwin... it was all. That bastard your mother married... he killed her"

"GOD DAMN IT! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!" Levi rawrs. He stands up and grabs the cofee table. Flipping it over and throwing it into a wall

"Levi... i want revenge" kenny says calmly to his nephew.

"... so do i"

After another month to two, a letter finally comes in the mail for a MR Levi Ackerman.
"Oi, Brat. Eren." Kenny says simply and hands the paper to Levi.

"Eren?" Levi furrows his brows and opens the letter to read it.

'Levi.

Roses are Red
Violets are blue.
I'm counting the days till I come home to you.

I remember you saying you liked poetry, right? Sorry I haven't written in... maybe a year or so? I don't know why really. Things have just been busy. I've written a lot of poems to remind me of you. But as I said I won't be writing to you anymore.'

Levi furrows his eyebrows not understanding why he won't write. Eren always wanted to keep in contact with Levi it was stated in their previous letters. He keeps reading and reading until he sees the last sentence.

'I'm coming home.'

"Erens coming back from the military" Levi breaths out. "Hes coming home"

Kenny nods his head "you better meet him at the station... but remember Levi... don't tell him what we have done. Dont let that boy, or anyone else know how tainted your soul is..." Kenny nods to his nephew who nods back.

"I understand that"

"Good. Now be off." Kenny shoves him out the door and Levi wastes no time in making himself presentable for Eren's arrival.

The trains wheels finally come to a halt after a long long journey and the sudden stop jolts Eren awake. He rubs his tired eyes that are filled with sleep and pats the dog he has still kept all these years. He picks up his bag, and walks his dog out of the train. The now fifteen year old Eren keeps his canine companion close, searching the crowd for a known face that he might recognise. Someone who could possible give him a place to stay. That's when he sees the familiar ravenette hair cut into an undercut. Smoking a cigarette and checking the time on his phone constantly.

"LEEEVIII!" Eren shouts as he bowls the man over, having of jumped on him and smothered the man with his love.

"WWAAHH! I'LL FUCKING GO YOU ASSHOLE I-" Levi pulls the attacker back and blinks "Eren? Is that you?" He furrows his eyebrows.

Eren grins and nuzzles into Levi's neck as Cyrus comes up and sits ovediantly waiting for his master to finish attacking Levi. The boy hugs him so tight."I missed you so much!"

"God you've gotten big last time i saw you you we're only a brat... you're still a brat though" Levi says standing up. "How have you been?"

"Terrible! O-oh..." Eren looks down at Levi. Before looking up. Then back down. "What the hell happened to you. You were so tall before and now you're... tiny. Are you getting old? I heard people shrink when they get old."
