Jc's POV
I ran around the airport, probably looking like a chicken with it's head cut off but I couldn't help it. I wanted to make sure that I found this man before he found Skylar. I searched through the crowd, examinig every man's face I could, I couldn't give up. I stopped running like a mad man, I stood and watched everyone pass me by. It was then that the man appeared in the crowd, sitting by the car rental desk. I grabbed my phone and dialed Skylar without looking away from the man, no answer. I redialed, unable to move and unable to look away from this sickening man, no answer. I dialed a third time, praying for an answer as I stared at the man responsible for causing so much harm to my girl's life.
"Hello!" a man yelled into the phone after three rings.
"Ummm, it's Jc?" I was confused but hoped for the best.
"Yes, what do you need?"
"Who is this?" I said watching the man, unable to blink. I felt a hand grasp my shoulder, I instantly turned to see the older man that was with Skylar earlier holding her phone out. I hung up as did he, "Mel?"
"Yes, what do you know?" he questioned, his serious face was intimedating.
"That man," I said turning around to see him gone. I searched the crowd for his face once again, seeing him coming toward me. "Right there!" I yelled pointing at the man coming toward me. Mel yelled something into his watch that I couldn't understand, pushing me out of the way. Before I could count to five the crowd was broken into screams, this man being tackled and various undercover authorities helping contain the situation. I stood frozen, not sure if I was obligated to help or scream. So much had happened in the past few hours that I was unsure who I even was at this point. The undercover authorities made their way out of the airport as Mel approached me slowly.
"Jc?" He said reaching out for a handshake.
"Yes?" I shook his hand, yet was mostly confused, was this real life?
"Thank you."
"Where's Skylar?" I questioned.
"I can't give you that information, I do apologize for any inconvience she may have caused in your life." Mel said as he started to walk away.
"Wait! What?" I yelled coming after him. "Where is she?"
"I can't tell you son. However I can tell you that she is safe and that her life will become normal for once in the past four years. She will be happy, and her family will have justice. Thank you for ensuring that. But I can't say much more than that, I shouldn't have told you anything honestly." Mel patting my shoulder, "Just continue your life as you would have normally before this happened. You shouldn't know as much as you do. It's a confidential case, my hands are tied."
"What?" I said, Mel walked away in a rush as I stood frozen in LAX, both confused and heartbroken.
