I woke up the next morning with one mission in mind, making Mel agree to the plans this afternoon. I sat on the couch after sending him a text that I needed to talk to him. He rushed through the door and stopped standing in front of me with his hands on his hips, "Go ahead." he said in his deep voice.
"So the boy that lives down the street? The one that has been over in the yard a few..." he cut me off.
"Yes I'm aware of him. And I have done my research.." I cut him off.
"Well Jc has invited me to the Grove for shopping and to meet some of his friends."
"You do know his name isn't even Jc! I found that out! Olivia, I don't think this is a very good idea!"
"Mel, hear me out for five minutes! Jc knows the area and knows people, this can help me get to know things so that I would no longer need him to show me. Also he can help me with shopping, something I know that you don't want to do. Plus you tell me how important it is for me to blend into the scene, this would totally blend me in!" I said persuasively. "Please Melman!"
"Fine!" he yelled, throwing his hands into the air. "But believe me, there will be people watching your every move!" He stormed out the front door, and I knew he wasn't kidding.
I ran upstairs to get ready, I only had a few hours and I wanted to make sure that I looked perfect!
