I stroke my pen on the paper in front of me as I sweat from the pressure of the final exam I was taking. My left hand held my pen tighter as I try to squeeze every last brain cell I have.

"5 more minutes"

The teacher called out as he roam around the room. 5 minutes.. my paper barely had answers and I'm not even sure if all of them are correct. I just tried to connect one question from another. I don't expect a high score but if possible, a passing score will do.

"Time's up. Pass your papers to the front isle."

Ughh. I can't help but feel mad at this teacher. His grin when he sees us suffer from his unbearable exams. The horror when the sun passes through the window directed to his bald scalp as it shines like the golden egg that was once in a children's fairytale.

"Misa! Misa!"

A familiar tone drew closer to where I was as I put my belongings inside my bag.

"So soooo How'd the test go?"

"It was okay."

"Really??? Well.. I think it was pretty easy."
At moments like this, I really feel like a terrible friend for thinking about choking her for what she said. Nevertheless, she's the only friend I have and at least she's honest about how she feels to matters I open up to her. Her name's Marina. She's 10 centimeters taller than me. Cup B, small waist, fair skin etcetera etcetera. To sum it all up she's like a model figure. Oh, and we are both first year students at Aomori Highschool. I'm Takahashi Misaka. Just Misa is fine. I am average at everything. For my physical appearance, I wear a pair of glasses, average height, average skin tone average everything except for my flat boobs(accepted fact) and I care less about these because I just really want to pass school and ace all exams. Probably work for a while when I'm all grown. Have a kid or two. I practically dream of a normal life in the future. Boring, right? Well, at least it has a slight probability of becoming interesting if I win the grand lotto or something.

"Oh, yeah. You're going to your hometown for summer, right?"

"Yeah. My mom insisted since she kept babbling about how she misses her child."

"Heyyy, don't be like that. Your mom's not that bad at all. "

"You're the only one that tells me that, Rina. You're the only one."

We both chuckled as we turned our separate ways. She won't be returning to her hometown as she'll be taking the advance lessons for next term. I also have to return to my grandma's to get my bags and bid farewell.

I rode the bus to my hometown and sat at the very back. Soon enough, people were constantly coming in and I had to plug my earphones to avert the noisy sorrounding.

"Oyyy!!! Get out of the way!!!"

It was an unusual stopping. I took off my earphones and placed my focus on what was happening in front.

"Sorry. Sorry."

A young man with ash gray hair and deep blue eyes came in with a big smile on his face. I shrugged thinking how pathetic he blocked the road just to get inside the bus. I could feel the girls fawn over him inside the bus. Young and old. I changed where I looked and put on my earphones.

"Excuse me, can I sit here?"

I pretended not to hear as I pressed the play button on my mp3. He sat anyway. Arrogant man. Just because he has the looks doesn't mean he can freely sit anywhere.

"Ah! Are you into classical songs too?"

I could hear him but I decided to ignore what he said. He was humming the song I was listening to, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. I smiled and hum along with him. It was odd because I know for sure it's embarrassing yet I still decided to hum along with him.
