Papyrus POV
After a hard day, I came home to the sound of silence. It was 3:00 am and I was ever so tired. I walked up the stairs and went into the bedroom to see (y/n) sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed. I changed out of my armour into something more comfortable, which was a huge ass white t-shirt (y/n) bought for me.

She told me to wear it when I sleep since it was too big to wear out. Once my head hit the pillow, I was out all the way until dawn. I woke up to find a letter on (y/n)'s side of the bed and read it.

"Dear Papyrus,
Sorry I couldn't wish you a good morning. I was called to work because they had an idea overnight and decides to work on it today. I'll be back late but don't worry about me. You have a great day.
- (y/n)"

I rubbed the back of my skull and got out of bed. I brushed my teeth and took a shower before going downstairs. I sat on the couch and turned on the television, which was on a cooking channel. I was then slowly getting drawn in by the recipes and was interested in how it would taste like. So I took the notebook and pen from the coffee table and started writing down the measurements and timing for the things I wanted to make.

I scanned through the recipes and picked out the ones I wanted for breakfast. I felt like something sweet and cold so I decided to make Tulipes, which is a French dessert shell which is surprisingly easy to whip up, and I can keep some on hand for last-minute snacks if I make any extras. The Tulipes would hold the sorbet that I had pre-made for a party we had a few days ago.

I had to preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a large cookie sheet. While the oven was preheating, I took a large bowl and a wire whisk and started adding the ingredients such as 3 large egg whites, 3/4 cups of confectioners' sugar, and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour. I whisked until it was well blended and started adding 6 tablespoons of melted butter, 1/2 tablespoons of vanilla extract, and 1/4 tablespoons of salt, all blended into the batter.

I was required to make 2 tulipes at a time. I had to drop 1 heaping tablespoon batter onto one end of prepared cookie sheet and repeated it to make a second cookie, 4 inches apart. I couldn't place more than 2 cookies on cookie sheet because, after baking, tulipes must be shaped quickly before hardening. With a narrow metal spatula, I spread batter to form 4-inch rounds and baked the Tulipes for 5 to 7 minutes until it was golden around edges.

Placing 2 glasses, each with about a 2-inch-diameter base, upside down on a work surface helped a lot. With a spatula, I had to quickly lift 1 hot Tulipes and gently shape over the bottom of the glass to resemble an open tulip. Repeating with second one I made. When the Tulipes have been cooled, about 15 minutes later, I transferred them to wire rack because if a Tulipes becomes too firm to shape, I'll have to return it to the cookie sheet and place in oven to soften slightly.

I made a couple more and stored them in an airtight container. Just then, I heard the door unlock, and (y/n) came back with anger on her face. "What's wrong sweetheart?" I asked concerned. "First they call me a 5:30 am and say they have a brilliant idea, which eventually ended up not doing anything until it was over. It's 10:30 am, Five hours!"

I walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek "it's okay. Hey, I made something special for you." She looked at me with a hint of interest. I got an eye mask and told her to wear it. She was confused at first but did what she was told. I then told her to stand up, and I led her all the way to the kitchen. I told her to sit down at a small table we had in the kitchen, and she did.

I told her to wait for 30 seconds. As I did that, I took out the sorbet and the Tulipes and placed the Tulipes on the tray. I then placed a scoop of sorbet on the inside of the Tulipes. I decorated it with a dash of cocoa powder and white chocolate shaped like a heart at the side. I placed the plat in front of her and gave her a spoon.

She then removed the eye mask and had a face of shock. "This looks great my dear!" She complimented me. She then took a spoonful and put it in her mouth. "How is it?" I asked, waiting for a good reply. She looked at me with eyes filled with wonder and replied "Yo man, it really is a delectable and unique breakfast~"
