"They're trying to silence, Dan."

I looked up at the ceiling. See.. I killed my parents when I was ten. They put my in a mental home for teenagers, and I couldn't help but feel... Free. It was like I wasn't alone anymore. It was with me always. They sung me to sleep at night and would be there to talk to me all day. Sometimes they left when I had to take my medicine. But that was only once a week and they thought It was gone until I slipped up. I'd never leave It. It loved me.

"Why would they silence you?" I asked out loud. I sat in my room alone, laying on my bed and looking at the white padded roof.

"They don't like that I tell you their secrets." It whispered in my ear. "They think I know too much, Dan."

"That's not true." I shook my head. "You know just enough to keep me updated."

"You won't let them silence me... Will you?"

"Never." I smiled.

"Daniel...?" The door opened. I sat up and looked at the lady who walked in. Her name was Mrs. Parkins. She was the lady who talked to me about It. I seen her once a week.. But I had already visited her yesterday, so why was she here?

"Don't let her take me away."

"Daniel I want to speak to you about something." She sat down next to me.

"Is it about..." I tapped my temple.

"No," she shook her head and smiled. "You've been here a while.. And you've gotten better at dealing with It. I want to make a deal with you."

"Don't trust her."

"What if there was a way for you to leave here, hmm? Wouldn't you want that?"

"Yes," I nodded. I hasn't seen the sun or the trees in such a long time. We only got to go outside one every two months, and that was for only a couple of minutes. It and I loved outside, it was spacious and lovely.

"Well..." Mrs. Parkins smiled. "There's a lady who wants to more or less adopt you."

"Why me?" I asked.

"I don't know," she shrugged. "But you'll get to be a normal boy again and go to school. What do you think about that?"

"Yes."

"I want to."

"I'm Amy." The girl said. I was in the sitting room where we were allowed free time. Two other boy were in here with me, but I didn't know them. Amy looked at me with hope and kindness, two things I wasn't familiar with.

"What if she is using us?" I mumbled, looking down to pick at my shirt.

"Don't you want to be free Dan? To get out of here?"

"Well yeah but..." I looked back up at her. She was speaking to someone I didn't recognize. They kept glancing at me. "What if they try to silence you?"

"Then we make them pretty." It said with a giggle. "Wasn't last time fun?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "It was. But... Now they know who I'm talking to..."

"We're leaving today, my love. They won't silence me."

"You promise?"

"Have I ever lied to you?"

"No... " I looked up at Amy as she approached me with a smile.

"Who are you talking to, dear?" She asked.

I pointed to my temple, staying silent as It hummed in my ear.

"What are they doing now?" She asked.

"Singing." I replied quietly.

"Oh I bet it's quite lovely." Amy stood up. "Would you like to come home with me?"

"Will I ever have to come back here?" I asked. I didn't like this place. It was my only company and although they were fun I was still lonely.

"Never ever." Amy promised. "Would you?"

"Then yes." I smiled. "When do we leave?"

"Now."
