...Went a Little Like This

We have spent a lot of time together. Admittedly more time than I have ever spent with anyone. Friends were never really my thing, so this, well whatever it was, with Bellamy has begun to open an entirely new world to me.

My current state, knees tucked to my chest as I ride shotgun next to him, is one I would not mind adopting forever. I can't even remember what it is we are doing, but strangely enough I don't even care. I trust him and even being beside him is enough for me.

"What are you thinking?" Bellamy turned down the radio and made brief eye contact before returning his attention to the road.

I shrug, "Nothing important." How was I supposed to tell this gorgeous human I was a few seconds away from planning our wedding.

"Don't say that. You always talk yourself down Murphy." he kept driving, "Everything you do is so much more than that, and no part of you ever has to doubt that someone cares, okay?"

I knew what the answer would be, but I still wanted to hear him say it, "Yeah? Like who?" I looked down in an attempt to hide the smile I knew would come with his answer.

"I don't know." he shrugged, "I just figure out of seven billion people at least one cares." he turned to check my reaction to the comment before laughing.

"You're not funny." I refuse to give him the reaction he wants, but with his charming laughter taking the place of the radio and his smile shining brighter than the sun it is out of my power to smile with him.

"Gotchu'." he pokes me. "We are just about there." Bellamy pulls off the highway to a gravel road which I am sure must break some safety law. He pulls into a tiny clearing and parks, "We have to walk a bit." I sigh loudly in an attempt to fully share my discontent with the idea, but it warrants nothing but a slight shake of the head from Bellamy.

"If I have to then I guess." I unbuckled and slid out of the car to the ground, stretching my legs to acquaint them with the ground after their compact travels. I am not sure where to go, this is Bellamy's secret plan after all, so I just wait by the passenger side of the car until her appears around the back corner.

"You ready?" he asks. After a nod he begins walking and I follow behind.

Would it be bad to grab his hand? Probably.

I'll just wait to see what he has planned.

After following a path, something I know I could have accomplished without him, we found ourselves overlooking a breathtaking bird's eye view of the forest. Not that I would let him know I was impressed, "You could've googled this and saved the gas."

Bellamy laughed, "Yeah, but I couldn't take you zip lining over google."

Did he say zip lining? That is not even a question. Of course he did. Our perfect day could not just be perfect. "Seriously Bell? Heights." I sure as hell don't mind letting him know that I am NOT doing this. "I am not doing this." Keep it short and simple. Get the point across.

"Hey. Don't worry about it." he spoke calmly, "If you don't want to do it then we won't, I didn't pay for it yet anyways."

"Well, I don't want to do it." I cross my arms.

"No problem." he shifted his weight, "What do you want to do?"

That was one question I had too many answers for.

Since I had no idea how much time we had at the moment so I chose the answer I desired the most.

I leaned in and kissed him.
