The clock sounded louder than usual. Gina counted the minutes which dragged by painfully slow. It was a sunny Monday morning, the bright sun rays penetrated through the floor-to-ceiling windows into her sophisticated office. She sat quiet in her swivel chair behind her work desk her gaze at the door. Cindy stood by one of the chairs across her boss's, completely aware of her growing impatience.
The new partner was supposed to be there at 9 a.m. And it was already 9: 30 a.m. To say the atmosphere was tense was an understatement. Gina was still listening to the ticking of the wall clock, fidgeting with a pen when she saw Cindy walk to the door to answer a knock. It was about time the man showed up, Gina thought.
A tall, well-built, handsome man in a charcoal-grey Armani walked in. His chiseled jaw which could easily pass off as the edge of a glass, showed off a freshly trimmed stubble. His predatory eyes met hers before his full lips quirked up in a smirk, perspiration wetting her clenched fists. She gritted her teeth in annoyance as she watched his wandering eyes practically undress her. He stalked to the chairs across her desk and outstretched his hand.
"The Eddie Raymond." He introduced himself, his sonorous voice cocky.
"You are late." Was Gina's impassive accusatory. She hesitated fleetingly before taking his still outstretched hand in a briefer than normal handshake. She opened her mouth to introduce herself but he beat her to it.
"Gina Marshall." The smirk was unnervingly devilish.
"One and only." Gina agreed with a curt nod, gesturing for him to sit.
Resuming her own seat, Gina turned to Eddie whose was trained at something. Or was is someone? Following his gaze, she caught him gawking shamelessly at Cindy who squirmed uncomfortably. "I believe this is a beverage company in case you mistook it for a brothel, Mr Raymond."
Gina's declamatory brought him from his ogling stupor. "Uh, Yes. Call me Eddie, Gi_"
"Miss Marshall. It is Miss Marshall, Mr Raymond." She interrupted strongly. "I would like to get down to business, if you don't mind. I believe my mother handled every necessary paperwork." Gina said, her tone professional.
"Yes. Everything has been taken care of, what's left is your signature on the contract." Eddie answered, assuming the same tone.
With that Gina took a pen, Cindy flipped through a couple of pages of the contract booklet in which Gina signed. "There." Gina said handing the document to Eddie who perused briefly.
"Well this is everything." Eddie said retaining professionalism.
"Cindy, make copies of that, send one to my mother and another one to Mrs Raymond." Gina ordered. Soon as Cindy stepped out, Eddie jolted from his seat, with his hands pocketed, he began pacing around in calculated steps, as if he owned the place.
"Nice office, Gi_" He removed one hand from the pocket of his fitting trousers. Wagging his index finger in the air, he shook his head as if to clear his head. "Miss Marshall. Right, Miss Marshall..." He trailed off. "...but don't you think you could use a bit of colour in here?" He asked his gaze roaming the grey walls and black office furniture.
"That's none of your business, Mr Raymond." Gina said coldly leaning towards the back of her chair.
Eddie turned towards her, his eyes landing on her bare arms, her soft skin exposed through the sleeveless brown dress. His gaze grazed around her, long neck, taking in the crook between her neck and shoulder before shamelessly ogling her cleavage. He lingered there for a while before raising his eyes to meet her gaze.
"If you are done staring I will let Cindy show you to your office." Gina said her eyes trained on his.
"The sexy lass?" He asked smirking.
"Mr Raymond_"
"She is nothing compared to you though." He added still smirking.
Gina pressed on the intercom and spoke. "Cindy, I need you to show Mr Raymond to his office." She pressed the button again and looked back to Eddie. "If you so much touch the tip of her hair..." she started through greeted teeth. "...I will castrate you." She threatened her gaze holding his.
Before he could think up a witty remark, Cindy was already in the office, ushering him out. "This way sir."Eddie composed himself from his perplexed state before following Cindy, before Cindy made it out the opened door, Gina called her. "Cindy." Gina called.
"Ma'am,"
"Report back to me immediately Mr Raymond settles in." She said in her normal bossy tone.

Eddie had met numerous women. His intelligence, social status and handsome manly features attracted them all like iron fillings to a magnet. Some had stayed longer than others, some lasted a night with him since all they craved was a piece of him. They were all beautiful women in their own different ways. He had seen all calibers.
He was Eddie Raymond after all, a ridiculously wealthy mogul. He may have suffered a crisis but he would recuperate as soon as possible. It was the strong personality and domineering reputation that earned him respect and endearment from so many women. But ever since he laid his eyes on Gina Marshall, his control was threatened.
He hadn't met a woman who looked him in the eye to demand formality, they all wanted him to give them pet names. Besides his mother, he was yet to meet a woman that commanded that much authority. She literally breathed fire and he still felt the divine heat consume him, remembering how she didn't so much as blink as he ripped her clothes and worshipped her body with his eyes.
Clearly, she was smart since she was running one of the best companies in the world. Her sass matched her goddess's body. It took him all his self-control to ease the throbbing inside his pants, when she threatened to castrate him, wearing the most devilish smiled he had ever seen, if he dared to touch her PA. He cringed at the last part of his thoughts.
"Are you okay sir?" Cindy interrupted his thoughts. He hadn't even realised they had reached his new office.
Walking past her, he occupied what would be his seat, he answered. "Uh, yes. Cindy right?"
"Yes sir." She answered with a nod.
"How long have you been working here?" He questioned.
"Two years now."
"Hmm, do you like it here?" He went on.
"Sir_"
"It's a simple yes or no." He interrupted her.
"Well, yes." She answered quite boldly, her chin up and shoulders square. She clearly was learning from the best. He smiled at that.
"Miss Marshall said you should report back Cindy." He reminded her.
"Call if you need anything, you will get a PA by tomorrow." With that she nodded slightly before slipping out of the door.
"Gina Marshall." He whispered with a smirk then leaned back, swinging his swivel chair.
Eddie Raymond is here friends.
