Cisco, Ellie and Leo were in the car. They were making their way around town to pass time. They were nervous. Very nervous. They could literally die at any point. Though they were excited to find out how this journey was going to go. Ellie was in the front seat driving, trying to concentrate on the road.

Ellie: Wait, Cisco. What about your mom? Is she okay.
Cisco: I don't even know. I have absolutely no contact with her. The service has completely shut down all around the globe. It's terrifying.

Ellie nodded and looked out of the window in front of her. The only thing visible were dead people and cars scattered all around. Without thinking straight, Ellie swerved around a zombie, causing herself to feel nauseous.

Ellie: I feel sick.

Ellie placed her right hand over her mouth and tried her hardest not to throw up everywhere.

Cisco: Pull over.

Ellie pulled over immediately and jumped out of the car as soon as she could. She still had to be aware of her surroundings.

Cisco: Leo, you stay safe. You don't have to get out if you don't want to.

Leo nodded awkwardly considering he didn't know Cisco all too well. He just decided to sit there and stare at the collapsing world right in front of him. Ellie walked over to a nearby patch of grass and slightly bent over just so that if she was sick, it wouldn't cover her only set of clothes. After standing still for a few seconds, she heard noises coming from behind her. She assumed it was Cisco.

Ellie: Cisco can you come and hold my hair back? I feel like I'm gonna be sick everywhere and I don't want to get it in my hair.

Ellie heard no reply which made her turn around to be greeted by a monster which moaned in her face and grabbed her shoulder. The thing moved it's head closer to Ellie's neck and opened it's mouth. She fought back using all of her strength. Ellie dealt with the fact that she was about to die. As soon as she gave up and stopped fighting the brain dead human-like creature and closed her eyes, a gunshot was fired. The monster fell to the floor. It's head smashed open due to the hard fall. She cautiously opened her dark green eyes to find a brunette, tall, untidy guy holding a gun up to where the thing was. He looked familiar.

Ellie: Nicholas?
Nick: El? What the hell? How did you make it?
Ellie: As far as I know, this thing has only been going on a few hours! Nice to know you believe in me.
Nick: I'm kidding. But oh my god it's so nice to see a familiar face! I haven't seen you in so long.
Ellie: Me too! Thanks for... saving me. Even though it's been a couple of years.
Nick: Don't mention it.

They both walked one step closer to each other and brought each other in for a hug. Their hug only lasted for a few seconds until they pulled apart. Cisco exited the car, curious as to what the loud bang was.

Cisco: Hey I heard a noise. What was i- Oh. It's you.

Cisco's face dropped at the sight of Nick. They didn't get along well at all. He was always sort of jealous of Nick. Even though he didn't like to admit it. Cisco dated a girl named Nova. Cisco really thought she was the one. He thought Nova was perfect for him. But then she broke up with him for Nick. Nick was the exact opposite of Cisco. Cisco was neat and tidy. Nick was half-assed and lazy.

Nick: Couldn't sound a little more enthusiastic could you?
Cisco: Oh my god Nicholas! It's you!
Nick: That was clearly sarcasm but I'll take it.
Cisco: Good.

Leo then decided to exit the car as he was the only one not involved in the conversation the three of them were having outside.

Leo: What's going on?
Nick: Hi. I'm Ni-
Cisco: This is Nick.
