Parker Williams
Monday
Parker woke up to the sound of her alarm and let out a groan of annoyance. It was Monday, which meant she needed to get back to work. Fortunately, work for her was running her business through her laptop, which meant she didn't have to interact with people. Parker was the owner of a very successful business, hence the reason she was able to afford such a lavish apartment.Continuing on, Parker rolled out of bed, landing lightly on her feet and walked over to her dresser. She rustled through the drawers, finally setting on a pair of black leggings, a maroon sweater, and her dijon boots. A few moments later, Parker had changed out of her pajamas, and stepped into her day outfit.
A bark sounded through the apartment as Parker was putting up her purple hair, and her hands immediately rose in front of her in defence. Sirius rarely barked, so barking now could only mean two things: there was a flying bug in the house, or and intruder.
Still, Parker could never be too careful. She let psionic energy envelope her hands as she cautiously entered the room where the bark had originated. A shaky laugh escaped her lips as she saw Snuffles chasing after a large fly. Her hands dropped to her sides, and the psionic energy dissipated.
"Snuffles, you weirdo." She wrinkled her nose as he snapped his jaws at the fly, successfully catching it. "Aw, gross."
Shaking her head, Parker returned to her room to finish gathering her things. She closed her laptop and put into her knapsack, tossing her portable wifi router in it as well, before walking put of her room, and grabbing Snuffles' leash from the table beside the front door.
A sharp whistle left her lips, and her dog ran towards her, his tail thrashing violently. Parker bent down and attached the hook to his collar, before exiting the house, Snuffles following suit. She shut the door behind her, taking out her keys to lock it. The hallway between apartments was empty, the only noise coming from Parker and Snuffles' footsteps. They made their way down the stairwell rather than the elevator, as Snuffles was claustrophobic. Parker learned this the first time she gave him a bath. Spoilers: it did not end well.
The girl and her dog reached the first floor, and exited through the lobby. Parker waved to the receptionist, Samantha, who smiled back before returning to her conversation with a resident.
Twenty, minutes later, Parker and Snuffles arrived at a small, deserted park a littles ways away from the apartment. Parker sat down beneath a gnarled oak tree, and unhooked the leash from Snuffles collar. Instead of running off, he just laid down at her side. The familiar gesture brought a smile to Parker's face as she pulled out her laptop and router and got to work.
Steve Rogers
Thump
Steve's fists hit the punching bag, his eyebrows furrowed, sweat dripping down his forehead. He couldn't stop the thinking about Havoc.
Thud
And not in a way that meant he liked her, but in a 'how the hell can someone who destroyed the Rockefeller Center seem so normal' kind of way. Now don't get him wrong, he despised the girl. He was just curious.
Thwack
Steve shook his head, getting a hold of himself. It was just her illusions. All an act, created in the hopes of swaying him and his teammates.
His mind floated to the next attempt they were going for. He hoped it would go well. Someone so destructive needed to be put into custody, and who better to do it than the Avengers?
