Different - Hinata Shoyo X Fem!Reader

Hinata's P.O.V

I couldn't help but glance at spectators looking for (Y/n). She was no where to be seen. I want her to watch me, to see me play. I want her to congratulate me if I win, if I lose for her to comfort me. I want her attention solely on me.

"Hinata, you dumbass concentrate" Kageyama's yelling got my attention back to the game. It was my turn to serve I bounced the ball taking a deep breath, then hitting it successfully going to the other side.

"It went in" I said with relief, suddenly Kageyama grabbed me and said

"Hinata, change positions with me" while I tried gaining my balance. I focused on the game letting out a shaky breath

"Shoyo! You better win" someone said yelling my name. I shouldn't have but did anyway wanting to see it with my own eyes. I wasn't imagining it. There stood (Y/n) next to Yachi madly blushing, I smiled finding it cute.

"She came..." I brought my attention back to the court, this time fully concentrating "Only me. Keep your eyes only on me"

Tsukishima jumped blocking the ball "One touch" Tanaka passed it to Kageyama then setting it for me. I hit it so close to end this but was saved by Ushijima. Shiratorizawa setter Shibaru passed it to Ushijima.

Our team blockers let a gap in the block, the ball coming directly at my face. The impact got me off balance as I fell to the floor hearing Tanaka say "Hinata are you okay?"

"Yeah" I responded my face hurt but I least I saved it

Shibaru once again passed it to Ushijima. They were getting uneasy and wanted to end this game already. Our team using our first three-person block was going to determine our win, but Ushijima was able to do a cross spike at the last second.  Lucky for us Kageyama was there to save it by using his forearms.

I saw it slowly about to hit the court when Captain saved it. Asahi spiking it, but getting block which Tanaka passed it to Kageyama. Throughout this time I prepared myself. I didn't head straight on. I waited catching the confused glances of many. I ran up to the net at the same time when everyone else did. I blended in with the rest, harder for our opponent to distinguish who the ball was going for.

I jumped before hitting it knowing I was risking a lot, I took a glance happiness filling me when I caught her gaze. That's right, only me. Keep your eyes only on me.

I returned my focus back to the game an opening that not even their libero could get. I landed on the court gracefully, observing the ball fall and hit the court. I stared wide eye at the other side, hard to believe we won.

The spectators were silent, the referee's whistle was the only thing heard in the building. Moments later everyone went crazy loud. Our friends and school cheering for our victory. The third and second years threw themselves onto us. Tears of joy dripping streaming down their faces.

We lined up which I kind of had trouble with as I was very nervous, and my legs wouldn't stop shaking. I was pulled by Kageyama and a cheerful NIshinoya "Thank you very much" we all yelled in unison whilst bowing down. Claps were heard throughout the place. We shook hands with Shiratoriwaza proud that we won against them.

We went to the crowd thanking them, receiving a bunch of claps and compliments. My eyes met with (Y/n)'s (e/c) eye orbs. I didn't think twice and mouthed to her 'I love you', I could have sworn I saw her eyes become shinier than what they were. I flashed her a smile a blush rising to her cheeks.

The award ceremony was quite boring, the only thing in my mind was the excitement of finally able to go to nationals. They gave us our medals and once again applauses filling the place.
