Reader's P.O.VI let out a breath trying to warm up my hands from the coldness. I looked at the sky snowflakes falling down. I smiled and went down the sidewalk. Time went by so fast. I'm an adult now able to make my decisions. I was a part time student living on my own and working. It was sad that Hinata couldn't attend the same college. He only got a sports scholarship since that was something he enjoyed, never paying attention to his studies. At least Yachi lived nearby could always visit her whenever I want. As for my "dad" he died a few days later. I couldn't say I was sad, no, I was relieved. I didn't hate him I've moved on and that's the best.
I sighed heading to my work place. I worked as a waitress at a restaurant. It was a stable job, but my rent has been increasing lately. This job won't be able to keep me stable for long. I'll have to look for a roommate if this keeps going. I changed my shoes and closed my locker quickly going around serving the customers.
I cleaned the dirty table frowning wanting for my shift to be over with "(Y/n) I'll take over from here you can go home" my manager said
"Really? But my shift isn't over yet" I said checking my watch
"Don't worry about it. I'm thinking of closing early, so if you could please when you walk out flip the sign for me"
"Yes sir" I responded saluting like soldier. I changed back in my winter attire grabbing my belongings, then heading to the door "Goodnight (Y/n)" the manager said the from behind the counter.
"Goodnight" I said flipping the sign as I was walked out. The cool breeze hit me directly sending a shiver down my spine "Why does it have to be so cold" I whined to myself. I shifted from foot to foot waiting for the light to turn green, so I could pass to the other side. "(Y/n)" I looked over to my right. Emily appeared beside me with her bicycle.
"Emily, it's late what are you doing outside alone?" I asked half glaring and half smiling at the middle schooler
"Just going around. I was bored at home" she said sending me a grin
"How's your family haven't seen them lately" her eyes brightened at the mention of them
"They're great, kinda busy though, but tomorrow they said we would be eating out together" I hummed the green light flashing "How have you been?"
"I'm doing well" I replied. I stopped at the entrance of the park "I'm going this way. You should get home it's late" I said giving her a playful glare as I pointed my thumb to the park. She nodded.
"Bye-bye" she waved leaving quickly
"Bye" I whispered at her retreating form
I speed walked in the park knowing it was a shortcut to my apartment. I had to get ready for tomorrow. My head was ducked inside my scarf. I was walking on the bridge the corner of my eye catching the ginger hair. I came to a halt. Sho-kun? I looked in disbelief Is it him? The male's back was facing me plus with the darkness I couldn't really tell.
I stepped on the snow full covered grass approaching the ginger head male "Excuse me?" I asked my heart palpitations increasing as he stood up greatly surpassing my height. He turned around and to my disappointment it wasn't the person I thought "May I help you?" he asked a cigarette in his mouth.
"Ah no sorry I thought you were someone else" I quickly said waving my hands flustered. I looked away from him embarrassed. I had mistaken someone else for Hinata am I that desperate of wanting to see him "I'm sorry" I bowed down ready to leave him when something unexpected happened.
"Koji!" a familiar yet unknown masculine voice said. I looked over to the side. Another red-haired tall male was running our direction.
"Shoyo your late" the male known as Koji yelled
