I never thought I would miss being outside so much. I was always the one to stay cooped up in a room doing homework or reading a book. That's why I looked like a ghost.
Not even joking I think those monsters are tanner than me! Wow I never thought I would compare myself to a ghost, let alone be jealous of their color.
I wonder if you could stay under a light for a long time and get a tan. It's worth a shot. I'll have to try that later.
"What are you smiling about?" Austin accused poking my cheek, only to get it smacked away with my own hand.
"No touch mister! I was just thinking that if I stand under a light for awhile maybe I could get a tan." I said voicing my thoughts.
"You're kidding me, right?" he chuckled looking over at me.
"Why is that so funny?" I frowned at him.
"You know you look adorable when you frown." he asked giving me a smile.
Oh I see. He thinks he can avoid the question. Haha isn't that just cute...
"No you don't there wolfy. You are not going to ignore my question!" I ranted halting to a stop.
This forced him to stop seeing as we're holding hands.
I looked down at our hands for a second only to feel the heat rise on my cheeks. His hand felt so good in mine, not to mention the sparks he caused!
"Ok fine! I just found it funny that you thought you could get a tan by standing under light bulbs. I mean come on, if you could do that you think people would seriously waste their money on a trip to the tanning bed?" He questioned.
Well darn wolfy has a point there. Well then if I can't get tan at home then I can go to the tanning bed.
I would tan the natural way but... its kinda wintery.. ya know since its the middle of January!
I can just pay for it with my savings. I'm sure I have more than enough for one trip.... Wait a minute where is my bag?
Oh right you idiot you jumped off a bridge and left it at the top. Nice one Hayley! You get a gold star...
"Did you find a bag at the top of the bridge?" I asked knowing he would know where and what I was talking about.
"No, but you don't need to worry. I can get you everything you need. For the time being though you can just borrow Ollie's girlfriends clothes. Kim doesn't mind, she can't wait to meet you. 'Oh my gosh Austin, you didn't tell me you found your mate. We're gonna be best friends that go shopping and share secrets! When can I meet my new bestie!' and I quote that." He finished. I laughed because when he told me what Kim said he imitated her voice. I highly doubt she talks in that high of a pitch.
"Really?" I asked unsure of his statement.
"Of course, my parents can't wait to meet you either, well at least properly. You already met my mom and sister and my dad saw you this morning." He said reassuring me.
"Yay! I've always wanted a best friend." I gush suddenly feeling excitement spread through my body as I thought about what he was like.
"Well I'm glad to see you like the idea." He said a hint of curiousness in his eyes. Ya I've never had a best friend. I well I have one now! He then replaced the curiousness with smile that makes my heart rate speed up.
He really needs to stop doing that I say in my head.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked as we started walking again.
"Shoot!" he says glancing at me.
"It's about the accident.." I say unsure of how he will react. I'm still getting used to the whole mate thing.
"What about it?" he asked a small frown forming on his face.
"How did you find me?" I ask looking straight ahead.
"I could smell you. I thought you were a rogue and I followed the scent. As I got closer I realized it was my mates scent and I ran just as you jumped." He says burning a hole in the side of my head.
"Oh." was all I replied.
We stayed outside for another hour or two when we decided it was time to go get ready for dinner.
