A New Beginning

That Day

Its struck me that day

I didn't see it comming

I was sitting with my freinds

till u walked by

I took one glance but quickly looked away

but I couldn't help but steal another look as you walked away

I walked up the stairs to find you again

and then my heart stopped

there you were with your group of friends

I couldn't help but stare in your direction

dazed and lost in a feeling, but not like before

your face looked so familiar as if this was a dream all over again

but then I heard your voice and my heart skipped a beat

it was the same voice I heard a while back

I looked at you again and knew you weren't like the others

but something inside held me back

knowing that this happened to me before

remembering the sound of my heart in peices

as tears made it's way through my eyes

thinking that you would just be another crush

I looked down at my feet as my vision became blury

slowly regaining myself

I took one final glance

but suprisingly I smiled

I felt weird, happy, and sad all at once

it made me wonder how you made me feel this way

no one ever did but you

either way, I knew you were different

and my heart wouldn't beat the same

I'll just hope that things will change

and will wait for the day

when you'll be mine
