10: Your Warmth In Winter

(Arisa's POV)

I yawned as I opened my eyes. Slowly rubbing them, I got up. I remembered last night's incidents. I had to fly to Paris for yet another photoshoot. It was an amazing city but I felt a little sad because-

My phone beeped just then. I looked at it to see that it was a text from Yudai-kun. I could feel heat creeping into my cheeks. It said: "Good morning, Arisa-chan~!"

I couldn't help but smile. I was really sad to leave Japan because I didn't know how long I had to be here for, and I couldn't meet him anymore. Not that we could meet a lot even if we were there. My schedule and his were completely different.

I quickly typed in a reply.
A: Good morning, how did you know I was awake? ⊙﹏⊙
Y: I have the instincts~ (*˘︶˘*)
A: You really do!! (๑・v・๑)
Y: Anyway I gotta go now~
A: Okay~ Do well at work! 👍(∩＿∩)

I sighed. I still had lots of time to prepare for the shoot. I went to the washroom and prepared a hot bath. I relaxed in the tub, as thoughts flew by in my head.

Who was he to me? Did I really have an actual, legit crush on him? I recalled his charming smile and the positive vibes I'd felt around him. He would make an amazing boyfriend, right... I shook my head. What was I thinking?? How sure was I that I wouldn't get rejected? Besides, we are so far away now. And I didn't fancy confessing through text. That kind of thing has to be said in person to someone. If he were to accept me, I would definitely do my best to be a loving girlfriend. I exhaled. But would he..?

(Yudai's POV)

I reached the Avex building. I couldn't help but blush thinking of Arisa's last text. "Do well at work"? Sounded like something a lover would say. I shook my head and laughed at my stupidity. It was just a legitimate caring statement.

I was still blushing when I entered the practice room. Toru saw me and waved, then paused.

"Seriously, you found someone too?" He laughed.

"How can you just assume that?" I chuckled too. "I could be blushing because of so many other reasons."

"I know when someone's in love, please," Toru stated, sassily.

"What, are you jealous, Toru-kun?" Sota giggled.

"Nah, why should I be?" He shrugged, nonchalantly. "I already have someone."

"WHAT?!" We all exclaimed. As far as we knew, he had never spoken of any certain girl. But then again, I felt like Toru wouldn't be someone that says those kind of things out loud.

"Chill, it's not like I specially love her," he said. "I'm engaged to a girl."

"Ehh?!" Hayate said. "Since when? And why??"

"It happened last month actually but I didn't feel like it was something to talk about. My parents are happy that I've graduated university and has a job, so they felt that it was time for me to get married."

"So will you leave the group?!" Sota wailed. "Like Chiaki-san from AAA did?"

"WHAT-" Toru looked shocked. "I'm not getting pregnant!" We all laughed.

"Is she a nice girl?" Taiki asked.

"I mean yeah, but she's dumb."

"EH, you shouldn't say that, Toru-kun!!" Sota exclaimed.

"No no, I mean she's literally dumb," he explained. We all looked at him, confused. "She can't speak."

"Aww~" I said, sympathetically. Well, that was a new thing. "But it doesn't matter as long as she is a good person, right?"
