"What about him?" Nadia said pointing to a thin, hunch back man. I scrunched my nose, looked at her in horror and  hissed at her

"What the fucking hell is wrong with your taste in men?!" She shrugged and rolled her eyes.

"Hello! I'm trying to help you find your mate!" I groaned and rolled my eyes at her

"And I told you, I don't want to find my mate. Period." She just shook her head and sighed.

"Trust me Alex, you'll find him whether you like it or not. He must be here in the Mate Fest." I stomped my feet like a child and let out a frustrated groan. She's my best friend, but she can be so annoying!

Looking around, I silently prayed to the Moon goddess, hoping that my mate is not here. I'm not ready to have a mate. I'm not ready to give up my freedom. I like someone else. But what if I'd really find him today? Oh gods, what should I do?! Should I reject him?

I was brought out of my thoughts when Nadia nudged me with her elbow. "What?!" She didn't reply. Her eyes, wide as saucers. Sparkling like never before. I raised my eyebrow and followed where she was looking

"What's with a car?" I asked. She kept on smiling and said "You idiot! I'm looking at Alpha Caxton. The powerful and oh-so hot Alpha Prince!" I laughed at her exaggeration.

"Do you want to be his mate?" I asked. She stopped fan-girling for a bit and looked at me seriously. "I don't want to be his mate, but I dream to find my mate." I looked away and swallowed hard, remembering the possibility that I'll meet him today.

Taking a deep breath, I roamed my eyes around the place again and I noticed that 'the Alpha' was getting out of his luxurious car. Hunk. Nice! He turned around and his eyes met mine. A current like feeling spread throughout my entire body. I froze, my breath hitched and my eyes widened. All I can say is..

Fuck no!
